Gold
Going gold? Probably not. The owner of the board has lost interest and hasn't been around for a long time. Just a few of us keep hanging on because this is a wonderful place.

Re: Gold
But I thought this was a Gold board. The Gold Community icon is visible to the left of your banner image.
And I see no ads. Is that only because I purchased ezsupporter?

Re: Gold
You may be right. I get no pop-up ads either...maybe Nous (the owner of the board) did pay for gold. I really don't know anything about ezboard from an owner/administrator point of view...I just post here.

....yes. We all hang around here in a strange semi-limbo - waiting patiently in the dark, in the space between the threads. My eyesight went a long time ago but I've found my other senses have heightened to compensate - now I post by sense of smell.....
Ranier Marie Rilke is one of my favorite poets. You can read some of his work Here
and...probably my favorite piece....
You who never arrived
You who never arrived
in my arms, Beloved, who were lost
from the start
I don't even know what songs
would please you. I have given up trying
to recognize you in the surging wave of the next
moment. All the immense
images in me--the far-off, deeply-felt landscape,
cities, towers, and bridges, and un-
suspected turns in the path,
and those powerful lands that were once
pulsing with the life of the gods--
all rise within me to mean
you, who forever elude me.
You, Beloved, who are all
the gardens I have ever gazed at,
longing. An open window
in a country house--, and you almost
stepped out, pensive, to meet me. Streets
that I chanced upon,--
you had just walked down them and vanished.
And sometimes, in a shop, the mirrors
were still dizzy with your presence and,
startled, gave back
my too-sudden image. Who knows? perhaps
the same
bird echoed through both of us
yesterday, separate, in the evening...

What the heck, you might appreciate this one
Buddha in Glory
Center of all centers, core of cores,
almond self-enclosed, and growing sweet--
all this universe, to the furthest stars
all beyond them, is your flesh, your fruit.
Now you feel how nothing clings to you;
your vast shell reaches into endless space,
and there the rich, thick fluids rise and flow.
Illuminated in your infinite peace,
a billion stars go spinning through the night,
blazing high above your head.
But in you is the presence that
will be, when all the stars are dead.
