A scent on the wind
Karou padded on through the the endless plains. She could move faster in her true form, a hybrid of wolf and woman, terrifying enough to scare the bravest wolf or warrior, but she didn't care. She raised her head slightly to take in the scent of the night. The scent of wind and grass was all she found, so she sat down to rest.
The wind blew harder and made her fur shimmer in the moonlight. The silver specks beneath her eye became more noticeable and her eyes shined like stars. She had a look that made it seem as if the heavens and hells had joined together to create such a glorious, yet deadly looking creature. Karou looked at the moon but tore her glance quickly away from the smile of her temptress.
She looked around to make sure there was no one around and started traveling again. There may be some mere rogue wolves here, but she didn't want to face them. She didn't want to face anyone. Maybe if she were just a wolf, but not as what she really was.
Karou pushed on but stopped as a dark cloud sent a shiver down her spine. She scented the air for signs of anything around her. When she still found nothing, she glanced around suspiciously. She felt like someone was close by... as if someone had been watching her. A low growl started deep in her throat and she said, "Whoever you are... come out. I know that you've been following me. Show yourself."
She kept a low voice and waited for some sort of response.
