About Enhancements
Alright, before I go nuts running around every store throughout Paragon City maybe you guys know. Does each store sell different items?
For example, I'd like to find a DO Fear. I'm Tech, and the Steel Canyon Cooke's does not sell these. Would I find them say as a Science/Tech? or Mutant/Tech? Would it be sold in Skyway's Cooke's instead? Or is there a limited type of DO's.
According to what I've read from the boards, you won't be able to find those until the SL25 stores on Talos Island and Independence Port I believe. The ones in Steel Canyon and Skyway City only carries the most common 10 enhancements for DO, such as damage, accuracy etc.
Re: About Enhancements
From what I remember from the bumping, yah, Steel Canyon/Skyway have some, but not everything DO. When you get to the IP/Talos level (20+), it opens up to more choices. When you get to the 30+ level, it gets hard to figure out what to buy..so many choices..and Single Origin enhancements rock!
But Duals are great. I started saving up influence for them when I hit level 9.

Re: About Enhancements
I never, ever buy enhancements until level 12. That way I always have enough for at least 8 or 10 of them as soon as I hit eligibility. More, if they're cheaper ones, like Hold Duration or Resist Damage.
Trainings don't add much anyway, especially at low levels, so I just use what I find or what teammates give/trade me.
Re: About Enhancements
I always buy the low level enhancements, as soon as i can, especially damage. With the ++ damage, my characters wind up being able to take out oranges and reds, and the occassionaly purple. That means more XP and influence, which means more ability to get enhancements.
I stop buying them at level 9, and just let stuff go yellow until 12, then get DOs.

Re: About Enhancements
Yeah, considering that powers are designed to be enhanced (meaning they're not nearly as effective as they should be until then) and that getting enough of the kinds of Enhancements you want and at useful levels is pretty dang rare, I always buy. Everytime I level up, I buy new Enhancements to slot into new powers or new slots. I do my best to keep them green at all times, too. Though I don't buy just to add a + or ++. Those I'll wait for drops on.
Now that one of my characters has hit level 11, I intend to save up all Influence I accumulate on that level so I can start buying DOs at 12. But really, it worked out fine for me in Beta to just replace the Generics with DOs as I could afford them.
I mean, at level 15, Sunstroke had DOs in every slot except the less important ones like Brawl and Sprint and the ones they were unavailable for like Flight Speed.
Maybe I'm just lucky, but I always get the training stuff from drops. The only one I've ever had to buy was an endurance recovery enhancer, in beta. (Those seem to be pretty rare.) But buying something like damage?
They do drop from green to white or yellow sometimes. But considering that's maybe one point of damage at these levels, I'm not too worried about it.
