Albanian armed forces uniforms & Military News
Can anyone here tell me what counties military uniforms did we adopt for our army...? Cuz i'm a little confused.
Navy uniforms look 90% American while the comando looks Russian.

The Navy uniforms are not like US uniforms AT ALL. The petty sailors themselves have the old-style hat and stripped shirt and black trousers like they had...Soviet style. The officers have light-brown shirts for general use while for ceremonial use they wear a blue blazer (or white for very high-ranking ones).
They are made in Albania.
The other uniforms of most of the ground forces are also made in Albania but they are different pattern from US ones and from other ones. And we have several types. The Quick Reaction Forces have the black berrets while the standard army soldiers (in the other 5 infantry Brigades) have the green berrets and all-green uniforms (first time I saw them was in the last parade) or standard camo suit and a camo cap.
The Commandos have TURKISH uniforms...same uniform and the blue berret is also the same as those worn by Turkish Commandos. They are equipped pretty much like Turkish Commandos and are trained by Turkish Commandos too.
Most uniforms are made in Albania though...but for the regular troops their unforms seem badly matched. The winter jacket for example has a different camo pattern from the uniform...so the officers who wear them look stupid in them.

anyway in the pic i have their (Navy) uniforms look American .I'm talking about high rank offricers not regular sailors.
And our generals uniforms look 100% Turkish. I can't send those damn pic you'll see that i'm right .

This use to be AL air force one (Yllushin 14) .Personal airoplane of Hoxha this is the only one left .this plane was the first to deliverd somewhere in 50's may be later
Those are 100% Turkish Commandos uniforms. We have the same uniform and the same blue berret as the Turkish Commandos.
You see...same uniform:
For the Navy uniforms...thats only what some officers wear. I'v seen others with all white uniform...and the common sailors themselves wear the old style ones.
For the picture with the US soldiers in the US for crowd-control training...those are also 100% Turkish uniforms and helmets. But they are not used anymore...they were used in the late 90s but have been replaced.
For the helicopter...its not in black...its a dark gray.

No those are 152mm Type-66. The ZIS-3 is a much smaller 76mm gun...

Eurocopter to deliver 12 BO 105 helicopters to the Albanian Defense Ministry
New Delhi, April 15, 2006 (DefenceIndia)
With aid from the German Government, the Albanian Defense Ministry and Eurocopter Deutschland GmbH have recently signed a contract for the delivery of 12 modernized BO105 helicopters.
The 10 million euro contract will be spread over a period of 3 years.
The helicopters are a gift from the German Government to the Albanian Government. They will be modernized in the Donauworth plant and be converted into the BO105 E 4 version, whose performances are close to those of the civil CB-4 version.
Eurocopter Deutschland is tasked with integrating the optional equipment for the missions, including emergency medical services (EMS), search and rescue (SAR), and VIP transport. Eurocopter Deutschland is also responsible for pilot training.
The acquisition of the 12 BO105 E-4 helicopters is part of Albania's ongoing drive to modernize its armed forces and satisfy the conditions for NATO membership. The helicopters will also be operated by the Interior Ministry and the Health Ministry to help out in humanitarian operations and to ferry aid to populations off the beaten track in the mountains.
The first deliveries will be made in the last three months of 2006.
The conversion of other BO105M VBH helicopters from the German Armed Forces is also under consideration with a view to future sales.

EADS is the major partner in the Eurofighter consortium, is the prime contractor for the Ariane launcher, develops the A400M military transport aircraft and is the largest industrial partner for the European satellite navigation system Galileo.
