Alex is born 36 hr labor & c-section
I was due March 19th and had to wait 2 weeks to be induced. My induction was planned on April 2nd but on Monday the 31 I started having contractions. I ignored the until 3:30 because I was waiting so long and had all my plans set for the wednesday induction. I called my Mom and Dad at 4:30 pm and they drove from Vt. to watch my two older children. I left for the hospital at 10:30 pm. I was 3 cm dilated and went to 7cm by 3:30 am. I got into the whirlpool tub and my progress slowed. I got Nubane at 6:00 am and it didn't do a thing !. I got a waking epidural about 11:00 am but it wore off by 3:00 pm and they didn't give me anything else b/c they thought the baby was coming soon. ( April Fools!) They didn't want to break my waters b/c the baby was still high. They finally did it at around 3:00 pm and I pushed from 4:00 pm till 9:00 pm! The baby would not come past by pubic bone. Finally after a few doses of pitocin to strenghten my contractions I had one long and unrelenting contraction for about 10 minutes with no pain relief . I was about to rip off the IV and the monitors ! The doctor then offered me a c/s b/c he did not know if the baby would come in 15minutes of 5 hours. So at 10:19 pm on April Fools David Alexander Lee was born by c/s .
Wow! That sounds really tough! How much did he weigh?
I had a similar situation, with 34 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing (not quite as bad as yours) that resulted in a c-section. It was the same as you - he would not go past my pubic bone! Nathan weighed in at 9pounds13ounces! No wonder why!

Erika- Alex was 9 lbs but facing forward towards my bellybutton so his head required more room. He didn't drop until they broke my waters so they didn't know which way he was facing. Update- he lost 6 oz in the hospital by his 3rd day but at 10 days old he was 9lbs 6 oz. He gained 12 oz in 7 days - - about 1.75 oz a day! He is eating so much and pooping so much that I only have 4 more pounds to go to be back at my preprego weight!
