I see that you already visited the Rohan site. Join our forum if you have time. I know from another member at Rohan that Manwe is at Tolkienlore.com, but he doesn't post much. I left an e-mail for Jes and sarah but haven't heard back
Sad, this place was always so much fun, and looked nice too.

I know... *sigh* can you put the banner on your Rohan page? Perhaps it's time for some new people. Of course, you can see why people have left - because it was the time of the movie craze, which sort of made everyone come and post. Hmm...

I know. That seems to be the case at most Tolkien forums. Now the Narnia forums are starting to get popular. I suppose that someone (you? ) could leave a link to Amon Hen in the advertising section at Rohan. I'm not sure that we belong to the Tolkien Network since we left ezboard, and folks at Rohan really don't seem to post at other Tolkien forums, let alone discuss Tolkien.
Still sad to see people that you always posted with just disappear though.

I, too, posted here "eons ago". It was not lost movie craze as I have been a Tolkien fan for over 20 yrs. Real life just got in the way.

True. It wasn't movie craze for me either. I loved Tolkien way before the movies!

Cool! I'll check it out. I've e-mailed Sarah a few times and traced her down to her Doll website. I haven't heard anything from her yet.
I too was a big Tolkien book fan before the flicks came out.

From what I hear, and I was apparently away from here by then, an ezboard scoundrel called Count Num Num was making the Ezboard Tolkien forum circuit wreaking havoc. I'm not sure if he went as far as hacking, but he was pretty vulgar from what I hear. I'm happy that I missed out on it. You don't remember this stuff happening? Maybe he had a different user name?

Hi! I used to be a poster here too back in the day. And no, not part of the movie craze either.
Count Num Num was a troll who trolled several ezboard forums for the fun of it awhile back. He was here at Amon Hen about the middle of '05 I think, and left some rather vulgar posts which SarahStar seems to have deleted, under the name of JRR Tolkien.

I don't know...I thought that it may have had to do with the big crash that ezboard had while I was gone.

I think it's mostly to do with the crash. A lot of other boards have whole threads with unknown posted next to a this post is missing and can not be replaced message, just like here.
