History:
Born Michael Steven Moran, his parents lived an uninteresting life till the Rikti invasion. His father was captured by the aliens and was scheduled to be processed and mutated into their influence when he was rescued by hero's after the first treatments began but before any visible effects could take place. Reunited with his wife the couple lived happily and had a son. Nothing seemed to be amiss until Michael reached the age of fifteen and his powers expressed themselves in an altercation with a local boy at school. He hid them away until he was older so as to not risk his parents lives by biting off more than he could chew.

Now of age, he has taken the name Shutdown simply due to the plethora of caped crusaders and his penchance to slam his enemies into the earth and dazing them with his punches. A scrapper to the bone, though not as physically impressive as many other supers, he makes his way stomping gangers, clockworks, mutates and the like for the good of the City he was born and raised in. While somewhat inexperienced, he has a noble heart and fights till someone has to carry him away to protect those who need it.
