Beverages
White Hot Chocolate
Ingredients
3 cups half-and-half or light cream*
3/4 cup vanilla-flavor baking pieces or vanilla-flavor candy coating, chopped
3 inches stick cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
Slivers of vanilla-flavor candy coating (optional)
Ground cinnamon (optional)
Directions
1. Combine 1/4 cup of the half-and-half or light cream, vanilla baking pieces or chopped candy coating, stick cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium saucepan; whisk over low heat until vanilla baking pieces or candy is melted. Remove stick cinnamon.
2. Add remaining half-and-half or light cream. Whisk until heated through. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and almond extract. Serve warm in cups or mugs; top with slivers of vanilla-flavor candy coating and sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired. Makes 5 (6-ounce) servings.
*Note: To reduce fat, you may substitute low-fat milk or evaporated fat-free milk for the half-and-half.
Tip: To create the foamy layer on top, blend some of the hot chocolate mixture in a blender container until frothy, and add to each serving
Spicy Ginger Tea
Ingredients
4 ginger tea bags, any brand
2 3 inch pieces of cinnamon stick
8 whole cloves
6 cups boiling water
2 Orange slices
4 tsp sweetener, honey or sugar
Directions
Place tea bags, cinnamon sticks, cloves, ginger and sweetener into a large teapot. Pour boiling water over and allow to steep 3 minutes. Remove tea bags and allow to sit 5 minutes. To serve, pour tea into cups and float a quarter slice of orange in each cup.
Spicy Green Tea
Ingredients
1 cup milk (soy milk will work well too)
1 cup water
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
2 green tea bags
Directions
In medium saucepan, heat the water and milk until they JUST begin to gently boil. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 3 minutes. Remove tea bags and strain, then serve.
Hot Spiced Cranberry Cider
Ingredients
4 cups apple cider
2 cups cranberry juice
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
Directions
Combine cider, cranberry juice, orange juice, brown sugar, cloves and cinnamon stick in a large pot; heat over medium heat until warm. Serve in mugs and garnish with orange slices, if desired. Serves 9.
Hot Citrus Honey Tea
Ingredients
6 cups boiling water
1 1/2 cup orange juice
6 black tea bags
1 1/2 cups pineapple juice
1/3 cup sugar
1 orange, sliced (unpeeled)
2 tablespoon honey
Directions
Warm the slow cooker with hot tap water by filling, rinsing and pouring out. Place the tea bags in bottom of crockpot. Pour boiling water over tea. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags. Stir in the other ingredients. Cover and heat on low 2-3 hours. Serve with lemon wedges. Citrus Honey Tea
Moon tea
Ingredients
1 /2 oz. to 1 oz. "lemon balm"
A quart jar of water

)O( Moon Tea “Lemon Balm“Make a Moon tea, as opposed to ‘Sun tea’.
Directions
Place about ˝ oz. Or 1 T. of Lemon Balm in a quart jar of water & let it sit in the moonlight for 2 to 8 hours. Place on the earth itself; if possible, so that it can par take in the earth’s energy. – If you need to get ‘in-touch’ or release deep emotions, then drink this tea on a full moon night. I ususally make on the night of the Full Moon and drink it the next day/night. By myself hopefully outside under the moon.
Passion Potion
Ingredients
2 cups cubed peeled ripe mango
1 cup cubed pineapple
1-1/2 cups orange juice, chilled
1/2 cup passionfruit nectar, chilled
Directions
Place the mango cubes and pineapple cubes into freezer, and freeze until firm (about 1 hour). Remove from freezer; let stand 10 minutes. Combine mango, juice, and nectar in a blender, and process until smooth. With blender on, add pineapple; process until smooth. Serve immediately. 4 servings
APHRODISIA: A Passion Drink
1 pinch Rosemary
2 pinches Thyme
2 tsp. Black Tea
1 pinch Coriander
3 fresh Mint leaves (or 1/2 tsp. dried)
5 fresh Rosebud petals (or 1 tsp. dried)
5 fresh Lemon tree leaves (1 tsp. dried lemon peel)
3 pinches Nutmeg
3 pieces Orange peel
Place all ingredients into teapot. Boil three cups or so of water & add to the pot. Sweeten with honey, if desired. Serve hot.
WINTER PUNCH (body balancer)
4 tart apples
2 lemons
5c. water
4t. honey
4t. apple brandy or cider
Quarter apples and lemons. Put in a glass pot add water and bring to a boil leave the heat immediately. Simmer for about 10 min. Strain add honey and cider or brandy.
PEPPERMINT-ALFALFA TEA (purifier)
1c. peppermint or spearmint or beebalm leaves
1c. dried alfalfa leaves
Mix as a tea.
LEMON MINT BLEND (digestive and or cold aid)
1/2 c. dried peppermint leaves
1c. dried alfalfa leaves
3t. dried lemon balm leaves
3t. dried, grated organic lemon rind.
Mix as a tea.
CLOVER TEA BLEND (detoxifier)
2c. clover blossoms
2 thin sticks cinnamon, bruised
1tsp. grated dried orange rind
Steep for 5 minutes or until able to drink if you want it hot or chill. Which ever you prefer.

Borage-Flavored Lemonade
1/4 cup of lemon juice
2-3 tablespoons of sugar
3-4 medium-sized borage leaves
2 cups water
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend for approximately 30 seconds. Strain into a tall glass, and garnish with borage flowers.

Chamomile Tea
4 cups of water
4 teaspoons of dried Chamomile flowers
honey to taste
lemon juice to taste
Bring water to boil, then add Chamomile flowers, cover, and boil for around 30 more seconds. Remove from heat and let stand for 2 minutes. Strain, and add honey and lemon to taste. Makes 4 cups.

Dream Tea
2 parts Rose petals
1 part Mugwort
1 part Pepperment
1 part Jasmine flowers
1/2 part cinnamon
Mix,add one tsp to a cup. Pour boiling water over this and let steep, covered, for a few minutes. Drink before going to bed to produce psychic dreams
Love Wine
3 tsp Cinnamon
3 tsp Ginger
1 one inch piece Vanilla bean
2 cups Red Wine
2 tsp Rhubarb juice (optional)
Score the vanilla bean along its length. Add the herbs to the Wine along with the vanilla bean.Add two tsp rhubarb juicce (if available)and let sit for three days. Serve
