Collamair, your views, and why
So, Colly. Do you like him, do you hate him and why? Well, I guess it's obvious why you hate him. I was just wondering why all the people who do like him, like him? And Colly haters, feel free to combat their views ^_^
*looks around* first time Iv posted here... hmmm Id say that I both love Colly and hate him at the same time. He is just so easy to hate, which is what makes him SUCH a good character. A story NEEDS to have a jerk villian that everyone can hate, and thats why people love him, because he is a jerk! People like him as a character because he is so well portrayed. That is my theory anyways. It also helps that he is so good looking. Evil is always sexy anyways
Re: Collamair, your views, and why
Let's see... Colly is a really well created evil guy. I can't say I 'like' him, but I don't hate him either. Somebody has to be the evil guy, and he just happens to be good at it.
Re: Collamair, your views, and why
Well, yeah, he's a necessary evil, but does he have to such an arse about it?
It's not exactly roses, chocolate and a candle-lit dinner. =D
...not that there's anything ~wrong~ with decapitating Faylin's daughter whilst trying to seduce him. Violence is good! It just... kills the romance. I think Colly needs some lessons from Cassanova.
Re: Collamair, your views, and why
Aww, but I love Faylin. Colly's nice too, but Faylin's my sweetheart *hugs him* He's just so so very cute.
And to answer my own question . . . I like evil, as long as there's something good inside it. Like Sesshoumaru, undeinably a bastard to Inuyasha, but still so sweet to Rin. And I absolutely ADORE him. Collamair has a little bit of a good side too, and that makes him hot.
Re: Collamair, your views, and why
so what inside Colly is GOOD? I haven't seen anything "good" yet. He decided he wants this guy he doesn't even know so he kills the guy's whole family, in front of him, TORTURING him, and colly feels that therees NOTHING wrong with that. I'm not sure HOW he intends to get faylin to sleep with him. Maybe in three hundred years Fay will forgive him. MAYBE.
On the other hand, I like evil, and if theres anything Colly's good at, it's just that, for all the previously stated reasons. He wants somethin' and hes gonna get it. No matter who or what is in the way. And he's truly despicable. I love it!
Re: Collamair, your views, and why
Ok, maybe I haven't gotten to the good part yet! Or maybe I just miscontrue angst as "good" I mean really, can anyone who looks all sad and sex be evil? It must the good inside them. Sad boys in snow. Oh yeah.
Colly (not the dog)
Personally I just don't see what Faylin likes about him... I mean I don't _hate_ Colly, but I don't think I could fall in love with someone who killed my children, spouse, and sibling...
I think they're both a little masochistic. Well in Colly's case a _lot_ but still. I think he's just one of those guys you just love to hate.
Re: Collamair, your views, and why
of coruse I love him. of course, Faylin has reasons for hating the guy, but vampires kill for a reason. it was a tad drastic diong what he did just to get Faylin, but others have done worse *cough*Eanwulf!*cough* Besides, Colly's just so sexy.
I think I do love Colly.
and I think I would love him, even if he kills all my family and stuff..
BUT DON'T TOUCH MY CAT *lol*
He's realy cool, like him all the way..
he's just sooo great, can't discribe..
Re: Collamair, your views, and whyWell, I have to admit...Colly is kinda secksi...but not as secksi as Faylin. No offence, but I'm going to compare to another comic.... I don't know if anyone has heard of it, but the comic 'Arcana' is quite wonderful... In it, there is a Vampire named Vincent. Vincent is the love-to-hate character. He's done so many wrong things, yet Holden (his ex-lover, I suppose you could say...?) still tries to find the good in him. I think that Colly is a bit like Vincent, in that he does a lot...wrong...just...wrong...and yet he's still secksi (not as secksi as Vincent, though, 'cause Vincent has REALLY nice collarbones XD)...although...well, Colly has no real excuse, except that he's an ass. Soo...yeah. I think the point was that I love Colly, because he's cute (::shallow:: ^^;.), but I hate the things he does. Yeah. That's it. ...Hmm...kinda reminds me of some people....Edited by: Corimanst at: 4/5/04 4:48 pm
Me too...
I've read Arcana, too, but Vincent has an EXCUSE as to why he acts the way he does. Colly does it just because. *shrug* I dunno. He reminds me more of Muraki from Yami no Matsuei than Vincent. Psychooooo...
Anyway, I like Colly. But then again, I like evil characters like that. Yes, he murdered Faylin's family in front of him and then practically raped him, but...he actually has remorse for that. I don't know if anyone else can see it, but I think he's changing. He's gotten a lot sweeter and he's REALLY protective of Faylin. Anyone else notice that?
Is it actually possible that Collamair's animalistic lust is now turning to love?
Re: Me too...
*blink blink* "Practically raped him" ? You mean . . . he didn't actually . . .?

Colly and Faylin and bloodlines...
Collamair's behaving somewhat like a Lasombra or maybe an antitribu Toreador. I get Path of Death and the Soul for his archetype, Dictator for his nature with leader as his secondary demeanor.
Faylin looks a lot like he'll go toward the path of Catharsis, or maybe the Path of Kane. Definitely not Humanity. So far he's developing the nature of a servant or slave, with some odd explorer or scout demeanor... As he was supposedly Embraced by Colly, he should be the same species.
Was Eanwulf supposed to be Colly's chylde? He looked more like a Tzimisce without the Viscissitude infection or a Setite, with a Path of the sort revelled in by the Sabbat.
The others seem to be obedient (or dominated) chylder of Colly.
Re: Colly and Faylin and bloodlines...I agree.... I'm quite confused. Only word I understood was Sabbat. Hey, are you Catholic? Or Christian? Or a minister? If you are, I think I like you even less. You sound...too smart.... Heh.
Re: Colly and Faylin and bloodlines...
HA HA HA HA!! That's not smarts, nor religion, thats NERDINESS! He's on a White Wolf tangent! He's taking the comic into the terms of the role playing game "Vampire: The Masquerade". Yes, Eanwulf is totally a tzimisce and i think he is Collamair's chylde, or why would he call him "Master"?
so wait- Arcana's done? Right there? At that cliffhanger? i thought she just hadn't upadted in a long time! Now I'm sad.
Re: Colly and Faylin and bloodlines...Oh...no wonder.... Heh. Yeah, sorry to disappoint you, but it's over. >.< She was supposed to update it so that the homepage wasn't showing the last comic, and someone was supposed to take over writing it all in text form. But...well, we've seen none of that. I love the comic, but I strongly dislike the author. I understand that she has schoolwork, but she never even VISITS the site anymore. Oi... Oh, well.
Anyway, I refuse to play Vampire: The Masquerade. I find it stupid.... ::Shrugs:: I find a lot of things stupid...especially people. >.> Blah....
