Custom 8th Royal Irish Hussars Stuart
The King's Own 8th Royal Irish Hussars adopted the "dazzle" pattern designed by its commander, Brig. Caunter, before the Crusader campaign in the Western Desert during November - December of 1941. This tank has just recently emerged from the paint shed in Alexandria:
To make the 21st Stuart more closely resemble the M-3 Honey in British service during '41, the machine gun shield has been removed, and the pintle mount replaced with the 1903 mount.
A turret basket has been created and some interior detail added, including racks for the Thompson magazines.
The breech of the 37mm and the coaxial .30 have been added along with ammo cans and the gunner's sight. The breech is a simplistic representation and not historically accurate.
A radio has been added to the bustle. The out-of-scale wiring is to the battery that powers the lights behind the gauges.
As you can see, there are many imperfections, and I am still working on scale dust!
