DT2005-069 - Statement of Recognition [Riponia].
Gentlemen, I submit the following for you approval.

Quote:
Statement of the Dáil Tománn Recognizing the Nation of Riponia.

It is the opinion of the Dáil Tománn that:
i. the Nation of Riponia is a legitimate non-territorial micronational entity.
ii. The governmental bodies of the Nation of Riponia legitimately acts on behalf of the citizens of the Nation of Riponia.
iii. The Dáil Tománn aknowledges that the communication between Chris Mackintosh, on behalf of the Nation of Riponia, and representatives of the Republic of Talamthom on the 23rd of November 2005 constituted a defacto recognition of this reality.

The Dáil Tománn re-affirms the Republic's recognition of the legitimacy of the Nation of Riponia as a non-territorial micronational entity and further recognizes the governmental bodies of the Nation of Riponia as the sole legitimate representative of all the citizens of the Nation of Riponia.

Signed on behalf of the Dáil,
x............................,
President,
The Republic of Talamthom

Their website makes for interesting reading.

Are the simulationist or successionist, Tom?

They are a little bit of both. I don't think they have any real seccessionist claims. They just are acting as really as they deem necessary - for example they don't want to be a part of the MCS yet want to simulate a nation.

They seem alright people.

In principle, I have no opposition. Let's review this properly when the new Dáil are elected.

I would like to suggest that the existing legislation be considered chucked-out-then-reintroduced for the new term, so we can begin another 10-day discussion period. Seems only fair to allow Mr Portela and Mr Gray a chance to get to grips with current affairs, eh?

Well i have only just motioned the bills for a vote. The debate can continue regardless. We'll take a 10-day period from Wednesday after the elections if thats okay.

I'm sorry but are the ICT illiterate or something - please read carefully any messages I leave here! You do not vote openly in parliament. We have a place called the Polling Station where we vote. To make it easier for you I'll give you a link there. I'll be generous and tack on an extra 24 hours so that you can register an official vote.

Ionad Votala!!
