DT2006-004 - Mothballing of the Republic Act
Gentlemen:
Quote:The Mothballing of the Republic Act states;
WHEREAS the memory of the Republic of Talamthom shall be held dear within all of our hearts;
PROMISING to return to micras when situations are more favourable;
Be it enacted that on the 7th Day of April in the year of our Lord 2006 that the Republic is hereby officially mothballed until further notice.

I am afraid to say I staunchly oppose this Act, and will delay its ratification while persuing its reversal (via Referendum) for as long as I may under Tománn law.
I do not wish to see Talamthom 'go under' with so little provocation after such a long and eventful history.

Well things are coming to a head. Activity is dwindling and Gold Status expires on the 8th and I haven't the money to renew it. What do you propose?

I put a bit of thought into this yesterday after posting my opposition, and I think I have come up with a solution. As far as the Gold Community status goes, I think I recall the last time I renewed it the money wasn't too horrible, so I'll take a look at it.
I'll try to speak to you via AIM in the next day or so to discuss the ideas I've drafted, since posting them here is going to be a horrifically inefficient way of handling things.

I stand with the President in this matter. I personally believe that we can make Talamthom work out, and I would hate to see TT go down. I consider TT my second home in micronationalism... I wish to help and I am committed to doing so.
