Dalmatian National Movement - VEGLIOT !

By Pizdopa:

Majority of Dalmatians see them selves as Croatain,.. there is no doubt about that!!

However there are people like me who see them selves as Dalmatian and not Croatian. Such people are in Croatia seen as Regionalists. Now Regionalists exist in other parts of croatia too, like Istria(where at least 20% of the population see them selves as this).

In Dalmatia there are no more then about 2000 people who are Dalmatian Regionalist. Majority of them live around Split,.. however there are people also living around Trogir, Zadar and Makarska.

I know of only a few people who would come out and say publicly that they are DalReg. This is because as you can imagine the pressure and discrimination that Croatia enflicked over the years on our little Minority has seriously damaged the good relations between them and any outsiders.

Ok,.. I'm not sure what all of you will think of this site. I didn't make this site, nor do I know who did,.. however it is very recent site based on the Dalmatian Action Party which seezed to exist a few years ago. Being a Regional Dalmatian, I can understand the hatered and anger that is portrayed here:

_______

WHAT IS VEGLIOT?

The VEGLIOT was formed in November 2003 by former members and supporters of the Dalmatian Action Party. After the government liquidated the only regionalist party of the Dalmatian Region, outlawed the Dalmatian National Flag and finally tryed to destroy every known document of the Dalmatian Language(including 2 recently published old Dalmatian Dictionaries that have vanished from the face of the earth), the Vegliot movement was formed. Its a sad situation when we, the citizens of Dalmatia have to turn to violence in order to save our heritige from being destroyed by the great "democratic country of Croatia".

Its even more sader when the Croatian government does its outmost to destroy the ethnic diversity that has acumulated in this region for centuries. They are taking taxes from the local region and using it directly to benefit the Capital City(Zagreb) and not giving anything back. In other words they are using Dalmatia as a cash cow. In the same time the Dalmatian High rate of unemployment is forcing 1000's of people to leave this land for a better life in the North, where they are being heavly discriminated against by the Politicaly Correct Croats "Purgeri". For Example, what is the chance of seeing a Dalmatian Steward/Stewardess on Croatia Airline. I'd say thats the same probability as wining the state lottery in the US, so u figure!!

The Vegliot has eight main aims. These are:

1) To halt the mass Croatian Bosnian Immigration into Dalmatia.
2) To halt the mass Dalmatian Immigration to North Croatia.
3) To establish and maintain an independent Dalmatian parlament within the borders of Croatia.
4) To give Serbian Dalmatians the right to return back to their homes.
5) To give Italian Dalmatians(and their heirs) either compensation for loss of property after WW2(incured by the then Yugoslav government) or the return of estate(where possible).
6) To end the law of "Stanarasko Pravo"(The right to be a Squater).
7) To restore Vegliot(old Dalmatian) as the national language of the whole Dalmatia.
8) And Finally as an Ethnic minority, to Bring back our voice on the political scene in Croatia by re-establishing the Dalmatian Action Party.
