This is simply an administrative thread opened for the sole purpose of allowing you to requesting the deletion of the few items of spam which I had far too much compassion for or your own double posts.
I sort of enjoy the double post monster...but if you're embarrassed by the odd occurance, your request for clean up will be honored.
Requests to allow spam to stand...in the unlikely event that you actually come across a worthy bit...will also be heeded.
Damnit Jim approaches the judges bench grasping his hat nervously...the room is dark...and the bench rises up what seems to be three stories...at the top he can see a couple of strands of blond hair...the judge is in but she seems to be asleep up there...he clears his throat to get her attention, as this thread has never been used...
...In my "foundations" thread Wanderer (bless his heart) made a post...I was actually trying a weave a collection of stories, each of a vastly different style...and...er...well...could you perdy please clean up the accidental posts...he said he wouldn't mind if you deleted them...I promise...
...and with that he scurried out...the heavy door allowing the cold blowing wind into the warm chambers for a moment before closing behind him.
Would you like manniac's post and your own in response to him deleted from your thread in Ex Nihilo?

All-
I think, in the case of ex nihilo, where out of context posts and non creative posts are concerned, I shall allow the thread owner to dictate what stays and what goes...even if it is not that person's post. This ensures that threads work the way people want them to.
Re: Deletion requests
I'm posting this here as it's the thread most likely to be read by our hostess. Also because I don't want to offend anyone and if the answer to the question is "no", this post can easily be deleted. So here's the question:
Would anyone mind if I invite the good Doctor here from another board? Typically I would use my best judgement, but given Falderal's problems there I wanted to make sure such an invite would be okay with the rest of the group.
I was re-reading some old threads and I've decided we need more members!!! There is nothing wrong with this group but I feel the need for some fresh blood nonetheless. Does anyone feel the same or is this merely a product of my current personal situation?
So I'm just asking. Honestly, if anyone would prefer not, I have no problems with that.

If he didn't use his trade mark "Ed.", and registered under a different name how would we know it was him anyway? I don't have a problem with anyone joining but that is just me, and this board is not mine.

Re: .
I'm sorry for it too, fluttersby. That's the only person I had an unresolved row with on the many boards I've been on.
That said, who you invite or do not invite here is completely up to you. As a poster, I must admit, this one person would not merit my personal welcome wagon. As the admin, however, this board is open to all who show an interest in participating.
There are people I would love to see here but they are not (to my knowledge) actually interested in the arts...thus, I have not alerted them to the fact we exist.
There are a few who were artistically minded who I did not catch before they disappeared into the great unknown. Cardinal Fang, for example, would have enjoyed this place. I think Stange Brew would have as well. (Using proper handles here because they no longer exist).
Actually, Nous, StrangeBrew has been sighted on another board!! I never knew him/her? but s/he is a very active poster at CSB. You might surf on over if you're interested in passing on an invite.
[edited because I didn't see Falderal's post. Two posters who agree is enough for me! ]
I know you as Admin would not have disallowed anyone based on personal feelings, that's not why I asked. I asked because this place is precious and unique in that we all seem to be extremely comfortable with each other. That quality is VERY important when it comes to sharing our work with each other - because our art is personal I think we must feel safe in order to share it freely. I wouldn't dream of inviting someone when I know of a conflict.

I'm talking about my impending divorce. The "need for fresh blood" could simply be a manifestation of my dissatisfaction at home.
Re: .
I'm very sorry to hear of your situation, fluttersby. It is a life-changing process unto itself. I now better understand your earlier question, perhaps detecting a romantic tension in your selection of Doctor X as a guest...
You're right, Nous, my name seems awfully clean and pristine - maybe some form of smear campaign would help...
