Diapers! Help which one's for a BOY??
HELP! My 4 week old little boy is wetting his whole back when he is sleeping after he pees. I have to change his whole outfit every time he goes. I have tried Pampers for Newborns, and Huggies size 1-2. He is 8lbs..
My friend told me she thinks that some mother favor one brand over the other depending on the sex of their baby. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I use WHite Cloud size 1, and they are smaller than the other two brands, which helps. Also, make SURE you are fastening it snugly all the way around, AND that it covers hit tiny butt. SO cute!! If it slips down AT ALL it will leak. Also, please check that he is just not too hot. My Anthony gets that way very occasionally, and it is a tricky bit.
HTH!!

re:
I've only tried the Pampers swaddlers and the Huggies newborns because those are what we have laying around... I think the Pampers fit better and leak less... no accidents yet with those. The Huggies fit very loosely between the legs even if you get them snug around the waist so the pee just dribbles out before it can get absorbed.

Re: re:
I could only use Pampers with my boys. I have used Huggies a few times but Pampers work much better with leaks.

Not much help here!
I swear it doesn't matter at this point, either! I have a little boy that is 6 weeks old today, and it seems like he's wet on his back at least 2 nights a week. We've tried Pampers Swaddlers, Pampers Baby Dry and our local Hannaford Brand. The bigger ones fastened well on top seem to help, but then every once in a while it doesn't seem to matter.

I read somewhere to make sure his penis is pointed downwards so that pee doesn't arc out the top, and to also make sure you've gathered the diaper up at the bottom so that there's not a lot of space between his parts and the diaper.

If anyone else has a solution, I'd love to hear it. We've been dressing him in a square gown with buttons down the front so it's easier to change him at night.
