Very good one, DJ. That one could easily be expanded to short-story length and published. If you decide to expand it, I'd suggest submitting it to Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine.
The folks over there are very receptive to building the talent of previously unpublished authors. Here's a link to EQMM's writer's guidelines.
I'm serious, Jim....this one has real potential if you carefully flesh out the story a bit.

Yeah...it is a very sad piece and a sad take on how the cyber word is bending us.
When I presented this to the "group" I asked which character was getting the "Mercy F**k" and none of them realized that both characters were, so I obviously didn't write it quite crispy enough...that last coat of polish is always the most difficult.

I don't know....I thought they were both pretty sad. You can make a real connection in the cyber world...but, yeah, kind of easy to lose track of who you are.
