*NB: possible spoiler below for anyone like me who doesn't like hearing anything about the end of any book/movie they haven't seen/read* Just warning...
A week ago I finished Lord of the Rings for the second time in three years, and my mind is still reeling.…Tolkien’s an AWESOME author, and I can’t wait to read the other books, like The Silmarillion...actually, if anyone could let me know which other tales of his you truly recommend (except The Hobbit – got that one already ) it’d be appreciated!
But what I really came here for was:
The first time I read LOTR, I’m certain I read some info about the Entwives returning to Fangorn from the Shire. However, I can’t pinpoint whether I’ve actually read the words, or whether I’ve assumed the info from parts of discussions, or whether I just made the whole thing up. Can anyone help??? Has Tolkien ever mentioned that the Entwives went to the Shire, and/or after the events in LOTR they returned to the Ents?
