Felix Felicis
Did anyone else notice (probably, I'm generally a little slow) that when Sluggy gives out the bottle of FF as a prize in potions, he says it's "twelve hours luck", but when Harry gets ready to take a swig, he says he doesn't need it all - "24 hours worth"?

Re: Felix Felicis
hmmm...no, I didn't notice that.

I'll be re-reading very shortly and pay closer attention.

Re: Felix Felicis
Could this be because Harry is still a boy, so he only needs a small amount? Kind of like going in the boat with DB?

It's just me noticing odd things. It also drove me crazy that, according to DD and the other books, the MOM can detect magic done anywhere (and has called Harry on it before), but they didn't go NUTS when there was several instances of magic in the house as the advance guard arrived to whisk Harry to London. Since he was already in trouble, it seemed to me the MOM would have been falling all over themselves to find out where he was and who performed the magic.

I need another hobby. :lol

Re: Felix
I just assumed the MOM knew DD was with him and that they assumed it was DD performing the magic.

OOps, Drach, I switched books on you mid-stream. I figured the same thing when DD picked him up. My head was back in OOP when Lupin, Moody and the rest picked him up after the patronus thingy. They acted like it was a secret mission and they couldn't used a portkey, but they did perform some magic there.

I TOLD you I need a new hobbie! LOL

Re: Felix
I bet you anything, DD told the Ministry they were gonna pick Harry up that day, so they knew magic would be done there, or he "fixed" it with someone to not be looking at Harry's house for that time period.

After all, there were more than one Auror there. They could have easily fixed it so for a couple hours, noone would be monitory Harry's house.

Smile, it makes people wonder what you're up to!
