Re: Greetings from Antica, once again
Dear Sir,

Of course the idea of a treaty with your fine selves is still very much something to be persued. I will comunicate with you via AIM soon to discuss things of an MN nature.

Things have been slow around here of late but we are beginning to pick up a little once more so I see no reason why we cannot move forward.

Regards,

Re:Greetings from Antica, once again.
Dear Sir,

As I do think we live in very different timezones, communications via AIM will be quite difficult. The Antican Republic has a standard treaty, which would look like this:

Quote:
The Government of the Republic of Antica and The Government of the Republic of Talamthom, desirous of strengthening the cause of peace and furtherment of mutually beneficial relations between Antica and Talamthom, have reached the following Agreement:

Article I. Both High Contracting Parties obligate themselves to desist from any act of violence, any aggressive action, and any attack on each other, either individually or jointly with other Powers.

Article II. The Governments of the two High Contracting Parties shall officially recognise the physical and abstract sovereignty of each other. This recognition of national sovereignty entails the mutual acceptance of each Government's defined national jurisdiction, and recognising it's de jure virtual and real-world possessions and property. Additionally, continual contact of Governments of the two High Contracting Parties with one another for the purpose of consultation in order to exchange information on problems affecting their common interests is to be strongly encouraged through the exchange of permanent diplomatic missions and frequent high-level exchanges from the Governments of the two High Contracting Parties.

Article III. Should disputes or conflicts arise between the High Contracting Parties over problems of one kind or another, both parties shall settle these disputes or conflicts exclusively through friendly exchange of opinion or, if necessary, through the establishment of arbitration commissions.

Article IV. Neither of the High Contracting Parties shall harbour, aid or otherwise support those that are willing to undermine each other's sovereignty. Both Governments of the High Contracting Parties will be obligated to extradite those who are declared to be a criminal to the contracting power making such a claim. The Government being petitioned must extradite the person within one week to the Contracting Government that is making such a claim.

Article V. Both Governments of the High Contracting Parties shall attempt to foster positive relations between the peoples of each nation, and in order to achieve this goal cultural exchanges and other such initiatives will be encouraged.

Article VI. Amendments to this treaty are allowed via mutual consent from both Governments of the High Contracting Parties.

Article VII. If either of the High Contracting Parties chooses to cancel the treaty, clear notification is required in written form in both Parties' official forums at least one week before the annulment of the treaty. Deliberate violation of this treaty by either of the Governments of the High Contracting Parties immediately cancels all treaty obligations for both Parties, and the Party that violated this document is liable for any repercussions that occur as a result of their actions.

Article VIII. The present treaty shall be ratified within the shortest possible time. The Agreement shall enter into force as soon as it is signed.

If you have any comments, feel free to say so or PM me.

With highest regards,

V.C. Vehendi

This looks absolutely fine my end. I will be submitting to the Dáil with immediate effect. You have my permission to start the ratification process at your end.
