Hello from California
I am looking for information for a WWII vet amputee (below the knee, left leg) who wants to ride again. He cowboyed most of his life, so knows horses, but realizes that sitting a horse will be a little different now. He lives on my ranch where I raise foundation Quarter horses and a few partbred Arabs. I have a solid lesson horse for him to ride. I have a platform where I can lead the horse to it and he can mount, but he wants to try to mount from the ground like he used to do. Does anyone know if this can be done?
Welcome, littlebit. I hope we can get some possible solutions to your question.
I copied this post to both the Lower Limb Amp forum and the Mounting forum. That may get some extra answers for you.
I will answer your question in the Mounting forum as best that I can.
Thanks,
Ann
