Hematite
Hematite crystallizes in the form of tabular and rhombohedral crystals, masses, columnar and grandular shapes, plate-like layers, rosettes, and botryoidal (uncommon) configurations, The color rang includes grey-to-black, brown-red, and red- all with metallic lustre.
Hematite can be called a "stone for the mind". It helps one to "sort-out" things in ones mind, and can be used for mental attunment, memory enhancement, original thinking, and technical knowledge. It assists one in mathematical pursuits and in the development of both mental and manual dexterity.
Although this stone enhances mental capability, it provides for a calming atmosphere concurrently, and in addition, encourages one to "reach for the sun". It helps one to realize that the only limitations which exist are those self-limiting concepts within the mind.
It is also capable of helping the body to remain cool, or of dispelling heat at the physical level; one could use it on the forhead to draw out the heat from a fever, or one could take it as an elixer internally.
It facilitates balancing of the yin-yang energies, utilizing, in addition, the magnetic qualities of the energy to balance meridians within the body and to provide a stable equilibrium between the ethereal nervous system and the physical nervous system.
It assists in the focusing of energy and emotions for balance between the body, mind, and spirit.
It also assists in the dissoultion of negativity, transforming the negativity, in the dissolved state, to the purity of the universal light of love.
It can be used to stimulate the desire for, and to facilitate the attainment of, peace, self-control, and inner happinesss. It is also conductive to enabling one to enter into a loving relationship. It is said to attract "kind" love.
It helps one to attain a "soft" meditative state, providing for smooth grounding and bringing tranquility and emotional clarity.
It can be used in the treatment of leg cramps, blood disorders (such as anemia), nervous disorders, and insomnia. It can also be used to assist in spinal alignment and in the proper healing of breaks and fractures; placing a piece of hematite on the base of the spine, on the area of mis-alignment, and on the top of the spine, has provided adjustment to the vertebrae.
Vibrates to the number 9.
Astrological signs of Aries and Aquarius.

Re: Hematite
Hematite is one of my favorite stones, I have always carried them for healing, a good friend of mine and my reiki teacher gave me a scarab carved of hematite , it is very unique to say the least. It used to go to a set of carved pieces that belonged to his wifes mother , he said that something told him they needed to each go to new homes and gave that piece to me.

Re: Hematite
Does this look like a silver grey color??? Because when everyone was wearing them bracelet like a few years ago I got one to go with an outfit I wore to my step grandfather's funeral, and it broke after we had the service at the graveyard. And I kept them, and I do beleive that was the name of the beads that was on my bracelet. They was almost like glass, but one chipped, so I know that it isn't glass. Most of the ones you bought was like plastic, but this was actual stone. Guess that's why that one costed like $7 huh??? lol

Re: Hematite
I LOVE Hematite! When I was younger and shopping with friends, when I came across hematite, I used to place it on my pulse to feel the heat and energy coming from the stone. Tried to get my friends to do it too. They thought I was nuts.
