Hogwarts - Rising Darkness
Imagine a world without a Dark Lord, without a Savior, without anything to save or to be saved from. Imagine a world where there is peace, and each day the sun rises bearing bright golden promise, and the children laugh and play in the streets without a care in the world. Their parents don't peek around corners or watch for shadows everywhere they go. This is a world where prejudices have faded to rumor, something that only nasty little bullies would ever resort to, and terror and bloodshed are but wisps of overactive imagination.
Now imagine, in this world, a school of magic. A small, prestigious school called Hogwarts where young witches and wizards learn to control the very fabric of the universe. And in this school there is a tale that haunts the very deepest pits of the darkened dungeons, which tells of misery and despair and something very few alive can truly comprehend. When this terror gets loose, there is no hero to save its victims, and no Dark Lord to blame it upon. It is a silent killer that cares nothing for the innocent lives it takes away...
It has come.
Hogwarts - Darkness Rising was brought to you by the creator of Hogwarts - Dawning of a New Age and promises a vast, colorful world of friendly members and a high-quality role playing experience, without any silly post-length expectations or judgement of the Newbies (who we just so happen to worship). We would like to welcome everybody with open arms and batches of cookies. Hogwarts - Darkness Rising offers leeway where other boards might not, and we love diversity and all unigue forms of creativity amongst our members.
Hogwarts - Darkness Rising is a board made up entirely of original characters, as it is an Alternate Universe (AU) that runs parallel to the Harry Potter series and takes place in present day. This means that Harry Potter never existed, neither did Lord Voldemort or Albus Dumbledore or Neville Longbottom or Nymphadora Tonks. This also means that we allow room for original thought, and sub-plots of every shape and size are accepted and greatly encouraged.
