How an installation artist collaborates with other artists
RE: "collaborative works with other posters"
I am an elementary school art teacher, and a new EZOp Board owner, and I enjoy reading your forum.
I wanted to mention something I recently learned, from an installation artist in Colorado who is collaborating with three other artists to creat art via email. Here is how he describes the role email plays in his creation of their art:
The email conversation is critical to our work. There simply is no other easy way to communicate ideas and thoughts quickly among four people who live a distance from each other. We can develop ideas, alert each other to various needs of upcoming projects, write progress reports on proposals and plans, ask questions, send documents, etc. It also allows our meetings to be more productive as we can get much of the preliminary discussion done prior to our gathering.
I thought that was quite interesting, and just wanted to share it with people on this forum. If you happen to be interested in the on-going dialogue with this artist, it's posted HERE.
Thanks for letting me share this with you. I hope you might find it as inspiring as I did, as I too enjoy creating art via technology.
