We had a respectable turn out. J. Mook brought his longtime buddy who manufactures tactical gear along with his son. Former club member Chris is now stationed at Ft Lewis, WA serving with the Stryker Brigade. K. Yonts brought a guest who collects WWII American figures.
Other regulars included B. Chueng, J.Funk, P. Gee, D. Vosefski, J. Woods. Michael Saltzman made his second appearance at a club meeting. His first since the club moved our meeting locations last year. He is the fellow who custom manufactures the Texas A&M Corp of Cadets Seniors along with the Relic Hunting Professor, and his father. We had quite
an extensive discussion over which 1/6th scale uniforms and accessories always have a high demand and scarce supply.
We also discussed the GI Joe convention and the request from National for Space City Division's participation. But we
couldn't proceed since J Mook was the only member present
at the meeting who was planning to attend. I suggest that
those who plan to participate in the construction project
meet before the next club meeting to coordinate and assess
the status.
The only "show and tell" item was a custom figure by yours truly. It was a 1st Ranger Battalion figure who was attached to Lord Lovat's 4 Commando Troop at Dieppe. These were the first American Rangers to see combat in WWII.
That's about it.
