I Renewed the Gold Community
Okay, Everyone
I renewed our Gold Community status...so that should end the popup ads altogether.
We're in the home stretch for HBP...so please let every HP fan you know hear about our site. I will be SO happy if we have lots of folks in here to discuss the book.
It will be over way too fast, so talking about it through second or third readings will do a lot to console me. Ha ha ha.

coolness--no pop up ads! I am excited for the next book too! I don't know if I should try to ration it out, or just read till I drop! I'm not sure how much self-control I have.

That's great! Thanks. Love your site.
And ejeana, I, too, have been trying to decide whether to ration it out or not. Thought about sending the book to work with DH everyday in the trunk of his car, so that it leaves the house for 10 hours so I can get something done. Perhaps make myself exercise an hour for every 50 pages? Something like that. Of course, then I have to avoid spoilers so much longer, and won't be able to join in properly in the wonderful rush of conversation that occurs right away.

I gave myself some time, Rhonda.
Mine is being delivered on the 16th, so I won't have it read until about 6 P.m. on the 16th.
LOL
Honestly, though, Ashley and I will be reading it together aloud, so I most likely will be able to stretch it out over three or four days.
Reading aloud takes longer.

I am going to one of those midnight parties for the first time this year. I was invited to go with a friend; so that will be great fun. I just can't see myself reading it all night though, because I have alot of kids coming that day later on and if I don't get any sleep. Wheeew I can just imagine. I will probably be miss cranky pants. I will try and read it though throughout the day. I don't know when I will have it finised though, because I like to pace myself. I don't wan't it to end. That's why I love it when they are forever long.

I don't think I could stand to read it aloud, unless it was a second (or subsequent) read through. If it was the first time, and I thought the person was reading slowly, I would pummel them.
I don't think I'll do a full out marathon, though. I'll probably read till whenever I get tired. I think I took three days on the last one.
Now I know I don't have enough patience to make myself workout or something every fifty pages! what if you reached the fifty page mark at a really important part??? I would cave instantly...there would be no struggle.

Seriously drastic measures is what it'll take to stop myself from getting 10 videos for my son and plopping him down all day in front of the TV so I can read! ;0)
Don't think I can actually do the exercising one, though... too much sustained willpower. That's why I thought of putting the book in the car... it takes only a couple of minutes of willpower, and then it's beyond my control! :0)

Oh, I about spit my tea on the screen! Ha ha ha.
I totally did that with our daughter. She sat watching the HP movies while we read HBP together.
