Isn't friendship a funny thing?
Sometimes in life you encounter friends that you really believe you can always count on, and then it turns out you can't. Or, you meet someone you really don't know very well or you aren't really sure of at first, then they turn out to be better friends than those you really believed in.
Odd how that works out, isn't it?

Yes, It is odd,and amazing. One of the oddest things I've discovered, though,is that there are people I've called friend for a long time, who I cannot count on,but there are others, who I have never even met face to face, who I know in my heart would be there for me at a moments notice,if I needed them to be(if only in spirit).
I have one friend who I only knew for a couple of years, before I moved away from her. She's still a huge part of my life, and I know I can count on her.
And having a chronic illness, I've learned that some who claim they're friends just don't want to stick around,as if my illness is too hard on THEM(how do they think I feel?).Or they want me to be there for them, but when I need someone, they're too busy, have other things to do,made plans(and "I'm real sorry, but you know I would be there if I could").I'm sure you know what I'm talking about with that one.
For several years now, my online buds have been the only ones, besides my husband, who I know will listen, care, and be honest with me.

I tried to post a reply to this a few days ago, and it would not let me, kept making the puter lock up!

YES, I can definitely relate to THAT! I've had friends who have just kind of disappeared after they found out about the blood disorder. I think they don't know how to deal with it, so they just choose NOT to deal with it (or me) at all.
Anyway, Thanks for being my friend, Shadeaux. Thanks for your encouragement, your honesty, and your support.
OK, I guess that's enough mushy stuff for now!
