Jojo Blade (Onue Delmar) Tower Guard

Description/Appearance:
Stands tall for his countrymen that its obvious he comes from. While most borderlanders are a little shorter Blade stands at 6'2" and is built like a barn. His height makes him stand out as do his eyes among his countrymen, who mostly have dark brown eyes, where-as Blades eyes seem to shift from light-brown to gray as they light changes. For these reasons it is suspected that he might have some aiel blood in him, down somewhere in his family tree.
He lives in Shienar but he wears the top knot reminiscent of his father who was a Malkieri farmer. His face is quite soft for a borderlanders most of the time, but when he gets angry (not to often, battle really does it, but not much battle at the tower) his face hardens considerably, and he seems to grow in years as his travel shows. Many men have mistaken him for a very seasoned warrior when they saw that face turned toward them.
Generally however Blade dosent laugh and joke but he is working towards it. He wears the usual uniform and doesn't pull a lot of pranks and very rarely gets in trouble. He does very well in classes and wears his sword like it was born on his hip. Expected to reach the level of blade master quickly if he continues progressing at this rate.He wears a terrible scar across his face that destroys his chances of being handsome, but gave him a tough fighter kind of look. He claims to have gotten it fighting a halfman, but not too many believe him.
History:
Blade hails from the borderlands as everyone knows and for large portions of his life he was decently known and easy to track. He was raised in Shienar and joined the army at age 17 (what he considers a late joining because he had to help his Dad on the farm) and was placed in the light infantry position because of his work with the sword. At only 18 years old he was learning the tricks of the trade from every member of the military and was well on his way to becoming an excellent swordsman. He did not however continue down the swordsman path for long.
When he was 19 he was fighting against a Halfman(Soulless) with three other soldiers (only one of them was actually holding it off) and when the lieutenant, who was an excellent swordsman, died and it was obvious the halfman would kill all of them, it was Blade that took charge and got the men out of the area and called down heavy archer attention. The halfman was kicking for a while afterward but safely away and the trollocs that were attached to it were driven crazy. Blade was taken from the field for a month to recover from a horrible wound across the face from the halfmans blade.
Luckily when it was looking particularly bad an Aes Sedai of the gray Ajah came to investigate about some man named Dash Gallent who had been there some years back. She healed him as well as she could and the taint did not kill him, but the scar would never go away. It ruined any chance he ever had of being handsome but it looked kind of ruggedly tough in its own way. Jojo knew who the Aes Sedai was looking for (not the man but a little girl he had saved using the one power) and he took her to meet the girl. She was quite pretty but a little old for him and married already besides, but he had heard she was saved by a stranger when she was young.
After the Aes Sedai left Blade was offered the chance to fill the leiutenants spot. He took it and was very proud of his promotion. Only 40 days after his promotion however his family was killed and their farm burned from a surprise trolloc attack. This time an Aes Sedai had not been there to save anyone. And thats when he made the decision to travel to the tower and become a protecter of their land. Of course he was no where near strong enough to become a deadly warder, but a tower guard would suit him fine. Maybe he could even be made an officer again. So he began traveling there by horse. His fathers land and holding in the bank had been enough to sustain him easily for the trip there and plenty besides.
He traveled through many towns that needed help in some way and tried to assist them, but always he set his sight back toward the road. It was on the road that he met a new friend however.Within sight of the fabled tower he met the rich man, probably a noble, and when they met he turned with Blade and traveled with him to the last inn before Tar Valon itself. They talked for quite some time in that inn, but nobody knows precisely what was said.
It was in the morning however that it became apparent that something important was said because they started travel away from the tower and into the wilderness.
Only a few spattered mentions of them again are known until they arrived 8 years later at the gates of the tower. Faces stained with travel but otherwise fine. Dash sought to join the tower as a soldier and Blade was ready to begin his warder training. When asked what happened during this time, Blade always replies that he doesn't really remember.
