June Update: The Tailors
This is from someone on Test Server:
Ok, here are some observations about the tailoring system within Paragon City.
When can we actually go to the tailor?
Right from the beginning, and the lower level you are the cheaper everything will be…but it still will be quite expensive from your current point of view and ability to amass influence. At early levels it is better to focus on your enhancements rather than redoing your costume IMO.
Where IS the Tailor?
The one I found so far is located in Steel Canyon in the Silver Lake district. (a little West and slightly North of the silver Lake marker on the map)
Store is called ICON and has mannequins in front.
What about multiple costumes?
Initially you can change only your one permanent one….but after running quest for tailor you can get a additional whole costume slot
At level 20, 30 & 40 Giving you finally up to 4 distinct costumes. If nothing is spent on them they are each just a copy of your original appearance. The point being you can adjust specific costume in a given slot.
What can be changed?
Everything except size, build, and type of Body.
Mechanics of changing and costs?
Costs scale up depending on character level, and is fair but expensive IMO no matter what level you are, depending on what you want changed. Color change for whole costume is a fairly low fee, and is automatically a option if you want to change anything else…. (Note: that the fee for color change will be charged even if colors are not changed but changing anything else. But it is quite low….think of it as a cover charge ) After you click on desired Costume slot you wish to change you will see that the same screen you view in character creation will be displayed. But this has a charge list in bottom center and each primary and secondary subsection has its own charge as well. And it all adds up at the bottom. For a total change…this can get very expensive.
How do I change my costume when I have more than one?
Go to options and the option is there, you must wait at least 29 seconds between costume changes
Supergroup colors?
You can change colors to SG colors as normal, and it applies to costume currently worn…but changes will be saved for each separate costume.
Tailor quest?
Serge is the name of the Tailor in Steel Canyon, and in my case at least He gave a hunting mission for 30 “Family” to protect his business. This quest I assume you cannot get until level 20, and at level 20 arresting 30 Family can be fairly perilous solo. But is relatively easy with a group. Upon return you talk to Serge and then when you go back to a ICON employee the costume selection list will show next slot opened for you, with a duplicate appearance of your original.
