Just Thinking About Things...
Wow! I have my coffee, Seger's playing on the radio, what else could be better?
I got up in a reflective mood today...no surprise, after the events of the weekend. I'm supposed to be writing a 4-5 page paper for my English class tonight, but my head just ain't in it! I really don't care about Transcendentalism and how Emerson was different from Thoreau...
Today Shadeaux has to go back home. I sooooooooooo enjoyed her being here, and I will NEVER forget the picture of her standing in front of Iris and Draconis, officiating their wedding. Even with short-term memory problems, I know the picture is forever etched in my brain. And, as always, the time that she and I had together was too short. Lots going on, problems that she or I was dealing with, other people (which is okay, but it eats up the time together). More and more I realize that I just hate the physical distance between us. One thing's for sure...when she said, "Shadeaux to the rescue" she sure as hell wasn't kidding. She rescued several situations while she was here. Like she said, she certainly 'earned her ferret.'
It was so good to see Narshaadha again. There we were, running up and down the roads around Paoli, trying to find where we were supposed to be...trying so hard not to freak out! I swear, she is the soul of patience!! I doubt either one of us will ever forget getting lost on Tater Road!!! Plus, she kept me alive on oatmeal the whole weekend (and it was good, too!).
Shadeaux was right...it has been one looooooong, strange trip! I've been playing mind-movies of Iris, starting at when she was a baby, all the way through to Saturday. Words can't do her justice...guess we'll all have to wait for it to come out on video...hahahahahah. Can't hardly wait!
I suppose I'd better get back to the present and wrestle this stupid paper. More later...
