YEP!!!! I spend a good deal of time in that zone, myself, dearest. You're by no means alone.
My therapist was here the other day,and we were discussing how similar kids are to puppies- they'll fight tooth and nail, then walk off licking each others faces(sometimes literally).Drives us moms nuts.
Well, she asked me if I had been taking time for myself every day,and I told her it wasn't very easy with these little rugrats running around.Every time I leave the room, they fight, and start yelling.I can't even go to the bathroom in peace, much less go to my room for 15-30 minutes of alone time. She looks at me and goes"OMG,not 5 minutes ago,you gave yourself the answer to that one,and you don't even see it,do you?"And I'm sitting there with this blank look on my face, going"um,no",so she yells,"PUPPIES!!!,THEY'RE PUPPIES!!!"

I thought she lost her mind for a minute before it hit me what she was saying. She was insinuating that I leave them in the room, alone,by themselves,to kill each other at their leisure, while I went to my room to seek my alone time, and that I ignore whatever screams, and yelling(no matter how much pain they seem to be in), coming out of the room theyre in,until I've HAD my alone time.
Sounded good to me.
