Karantania / Velika Slovenija
Karantania sometimes Carantania, Carentania, Carinthia (in old Slovenian onomastics Korotan, or Karantanija) was a Slavic principality that developed in the 6th century and was centered on the territory of contemporary Carinthia. Lasting almost 300 years, it is considered the first stable and independent state of Slavs. The people of Karantania are considered the precursers and ancestors of modern Slovenians.

Karantania's capital was most likely Karnburg/Krnski grad in the Zollfeld/Gosposvetsko polje, north of modern Klagenfurt (Slov. Celovec). Besides Carinthia, it included parts of today's East Tyrol, Styria, the Lungau and Ennspongau regions of Salzburg, and parts of southern Upper Austria and Lower Austria. It is not known whether parts of modern Slovenia also belonged to Karantania. The few historical sources in existence distinguish between Karantania and Carniola.

The borders of the later Karantania, which was unde the feudal overlordship of the Carolongians and their successors as part of Bavaria (826-976), as well as of the the later Duchy of Carinthia (from 976),

Nowdays austrian and german people claim that karantania had nothing to do with slovenia... All though the Duke of Karantania was Borut wich is a slovenian name.... Ok let's say that Karantania was a german state(for example) why would such a powerfull "empire" write "brizinske spomenike" (First slovenian text) in a Slavic language most similar to Slovenian??! Why the names: Celovec(Klagenfurt), Krnski grad (Karnburg), Gosposvetsko polje(Zollfeld)???
....

Samo state was Slavic like Sclavonia was Slavic superstate and not a Serb or Slovenian

Germanic tribes managed to drive Slavs from what is todays Bavarien and lower Alps Austria during king Heindrich time around 930 Ad

Slavic people spoke similar languages,so todays Slovenian is most similar to Czech
They both say ze,zigice,ampak and many other words Slovenian use today
