She is lithe and supple, considered beautiful by many. Her hair hangs in dark ringlets about her face, and her eyes are a shining green. She has a dimple in her left cheek, and a small birthmark on her right arm, on the inner forearm in the shape of a teardrop.
History:
Kerin grew up inside of the grand city of Tar Valon itself. Her father was a wood craftsman and her mother a seamstress. They worked long days in the town to make their children a living in the city, but they were happy, and their lives were peaceful and unchallenged the way some families' were. She was the eldest sister of two; she had a younger sister that was four years her junior, and spent a lot of her time watching after her and taking care of the house.
Being so close to the Tower, she took Aes Sedai in stride and never really thought twice about them. Unlike a lot of girls her age, she had no real desire to be one. They had responsibilities that were beyond her and she didn't want a part of it, thinking she could not handle it. However, when she turned fourteen, her sister was outside when she was inside, and a wagon pulled by two mad horses came carreening down their street, bowling people over, running up next to homes and causing a lot of problems. Unable to get to her sister, which was directly in their path . . . she had been running towards her, knowing she was going to be too late and watch her be ran over . . . when the weirdest things happened, and the next thing she knew she was waking up on her couch with her father bent over her. He told her that the horses had seemingly run into a solid wall, and the wagon had killed one of them. The other horse had run again, and knocked her flying in the process, but no harm was done to her or to her sister.
The incident was discarded as coincidence, people saying that the first horse must have tripped over a cobblestone or the like, and that the two girls were simply lucky. However, a week later Kerin was very sick, and no one seemed to know why. She got better quickly, and no one ever thought of that again either. On her sixteenth birthday, an Aes Sedai was walking down their street with her Warder behind her, looking grim and determined to kill anything that so much as twitched inappropriately. Kerin was tending their flower garden, one thing she was good at. She could always make the flowers grow faster than anyone else's, and they were always bigger and more beautiful. The spells of dizziness that accompanied this sometimes worried her, but she wasn't overly concerned, for they went away quickly and were only sometimes. THe Aes Sedai looked at her closely however, and before she knew what was happening, she was being whisked off to the Tower in a flash to be put in Novice White. Apparently . . . she could channel.
Kerin is mild-mannered but firm when challenged, and has never been described as flirtatious, though the local boys seemed to like to watch her at times. She is quick to smile and laugh and hard to anger.
