Desire, Lefka was always predominately a Turkish village .is clean for tourists purposes. I suggest you take a ride in the Greek Mesaoria villages and visit the churches and the homes.

Hardly comparable...ottomans were invaders that got sent back from where they came from ( obviously not far back enough ) The hellenes of cyprus have been there since the beginning of time.

I might go to north Cyprus one day with some Turkish friends of mine. They come from there and have invited me to go. They say April is the best time since you dont have to encounter the "annoying Turks" that come during the rest of the summer.

^^Almogavaro, in your previous posts, you already let it be known that you are a mentally challenged clown. A new finding about you: Judging by your English, I presume you are most probably living in the States or Australia. By your crippled logic, shouldn't you leave your country of residence (which according to your logic belongs to the Aboriginals or the American Indians) and go back to the hole you originated from?

Benny I have seen this excuse from you before...FYI -The native americans and aboriginis sold off there land to the white colonists. Albeit through shaddy terms & conditions and under the influence of alcohol, but nonetheless they handed it over to them. Not to mention they have dedicated reservations that the US cannot infringe upon. You guys cant even let the patriarch do his service fearing the division of the country
But to compare us with what happened to the native tribesman is ridiculous at best.
BTW- I hope you take good care of our monuments..I would also appreciate if you guys can actually describe them accuratly to the tourists. Instead of trying to pass them off as all " roman " when there is greek writing all over the place

^^Muffin, I kind of like you and have the feeling that you have a nice and entertaining personality (I am serious), so I will refrain from commenting. But let me reiterate just one point: That thing that you call the Ecumenical( ) Patriarch, will leave our country. The question is not if/whether, but when. Until then, he and his Patriarchate will be a trump card in Turkey's hands to get a concession elsewhere.

What the colonists did to the native indians in North America was one of the most terrible things ever made and has no excuse at all. So yeah, technically, I wouldn't mind at all. But now the questions: what would the indians think about it? and Should everybody leave? Or just the direct descendants of the the colonists? Cause America has always received a large influx of immigrants, but not all did harm to the indians, just the ones who arrived first.
But leaving all those hypothetic questions aside, one thing is sure: even with all the crimes the early "americans" commited against the native population, right now the indians enjoy a lot of benefits: they can study in every university they wish for FREE, they don't pay taxes, they are the ONLY ones who can build Casinos wherever the hell they want, etc. Of course there's still a lot to do, but they are improving. So, now tell me: do the mighty, pious and just turks do something similar with their minorities (armenians, greeks, kurds)? Or not?
