Life On Earth
Life on Earth
She'd felt the pain from the very start
Knew her role in Life was to end its part
The wind explored, the storm danced 'round
The night was wild, with many a sound
Her hand did shake, her heart beat still
Her skin felt cold, she knew this was real
Silently she surrendered to the night
Room to room, head feeling light
The thunder ripped loudly through the charcoal sky
She rushed into the street, felt she could fly
Nothing to live for, only Darkness' embrace
Oncoming lights.. she looked Death in the face
The impact was sudden, yet painfully long
Her very last thought was "What went wrong?"
Flying through the night, as an Angel may do
Left life on Earth.. her Time was through

Ode to the Muses for whom enlighten and inspire us all.
To be able to share something from deep within is a blessing.
What better way to get to know the true self.

Thats very beautiful Walks with....
The imagery was very strong, very strong indeed. Its not often I 'see' poetry its usually just novels and that, but that was amazing...

Thank You Everyone, I appreciate the comments.
This is going to be funky trying to explain. 
The woman in the poem is me. She is a part of myself I no longer loved and needed to release from my being. Writing is not only a form of expression and creativity for me, it is also a way of releasing something negative from within.
Ohhhh, and I need to tell someone.. I'm so excited!! I just got off the phone to a friend and I'm going to start a Creative Writing course after the boys school holidays!! I start in three weeks!!

yeah, it's a bad pun but someone has to use it.
though i mean it, that was indeed beautiful. i too write to expell my own pains. i would love to see more of your work.
not that i mind, because this is a place to share all beauty including someone eles's, but i see so much poetry in this forum written by folks other than the poster. it makes me jump with glee to see an original poet.

Oh sweety im so happy for you and this new venture!!!! And I dont think using writing as a release for negativity is funky at all...not trying to FIND a release would seem funky however  I strongly beleive the ways of spiritual purges are as unique to each person as are the gifts...no two issues alike...no two gifts alike. I worte a healing poem once to release negativity...scared my dad so badly I ended up in a shrinks office. He told me it was a healthy expression to get it out...so thats what I do lol
