Lollapalooza
My story? It's nothing heroic. If you're looking for inspiration go ask Doc Cosmic or Danger Ace. If however you are looking for a tale of mystic blunders, seedy nightclubs, and good old fashioned rock and roll then read on.

I was born Mina Nash. Pretty normal huh? Too bad my name didn't rub off on me more. I wasn't much of a student, but that's ok, I was hardly ever there anyway. I was always off practicing with my band. See I play bass guitar. I love the deep rumbling of a really funky riff. It's in my blood.

After graduation, well my classes anyway, we hit the club scene. We took the name Cuckoo's Nest for our group and went out to take the music world by storm. That was the plan anyway. Funny, I don't imagine Mick Jagger eating bologna sandwiches but I basicly lived off them for a few years. Not to say we bombed, we did ok, we had our fans and a loyal following. But where the Stones play Wimbley Stadium, we are more at home at Talos Island's "The Dirty Duck Bar".

One thing we are known for is our stage show. Everyone is always blown away by lighting and smoke effects during our performance, but there's a reason for that. See we had a trick up our sleeves. Namely one Harrold Lewis Green, better known as the Great Whosis. Well, if he's known at all. See Lou is a mystic of sorts. Not much on the powerful side. Most of his spells are nothing more than smoke and and pretty lights. But that was perfect for us. We made him our stage manager and dove right in.

Do you remember where you were when the Rikti invaded? I do, and I always will. We were in the middle of a gig in Kings Row. Things were going well, the band was jamming and the folks were rocking to our tunes...when the muffled sounds of the first explossion hit. I knew something was wrong immediately. Not so much from the sound, but something had changed in the air. There was a pressure to it, or force, it just felt "wrong". I later found out that this was the point at which Lou lost control of his spell. Something went wrong, or right depending on your point of view. I just remember a blinding flash of light then I went night-night very fast. When I awakened I looked like, well, this. Six and a half foot of muscled warrior. I also had this little beauty, this mace. According to Lou, his spell became entangled with the mystic forces being used during the Rikti battle, amplifying it. He says the mace is probably a named artifact from legend ripped through time and space. Me, I just call it Betty.

The battle was won as we all know, but the cost was too high. The heroes are gone and the city is left to depend on folks like me now. Heaven help them.
