Lonely road.... (aw)
Ortesh wandered the lands of Majestic Vista. It had been his first 'real' experience in them and he was hoping to enjoy it. His silver eyes scanned the trees, wondering if he'd be lucky enough to meet anyone else from the pack.
He'd only met one member, other than the alphess Deuce. He wondered if there were others. When they had met, Deuce and he had only spoken briefly about the pack.
He turned as a bird fluttered up from some tall grass. It was quiet, in that part of the wood, and it seemed lonely. He wondered if the rest of the lands were this way, as he shook his white fur out and continued on his way.

A butterfly fluttered across the path. It landed on a rock, and a small brown pup smiled. Careful... quiet - no, silent - and always careful. He stared at it, watching the wings move as it perched on the rock, the beautiful creature keeping his attention. It was funny, Liam usually had no attention span, being only six months old. But today, he had decided to hunt, and hunt he would.
He watched the butterfly carefully. C'mon... c'mon... he whispered softly. It stayed. He crept forward slightly, being as quiet as he could. Every step he took, he could feel branches and leaves cracking beneath his paws. And just as he was about to pounce...
CRACK! A branch fell and smacked the ground. Liam jumped into the air in surprise, and the butterfly fluttered off. The puppy groaned.
