Lots of changes
OMG, it feels like forever since I've been able to be on the board!! My computer is no longer recognizing the internet! Strange how this never happened until hubby installed his new computer and a router! Mine has been having problems for some time now, so today I am on his computer to check the board and e-mails and such! I hate it that I didn't get to check in with everyone during Yule/Christmas time!

The holidays have been good so far. I'm enjoying my time off from work (we always get the week between Christmas and New Year off) and haven't totally overbooked myself this time. My plan is to do one small project every day and then spend the rest of the day doing something I want to do, for fun. So far, so good...

Lots of changes up for all of my young'uns. Both daughters are moving out of state. That will take some getting used to. It is for the best and I am hopeful that things will go well for them. I hate it that they will be so far away, but they need to get their own lives established. The good part of it is, it gives me new places to go to, and new scenery to see.

My son is working now. He hates his job but is not quitting until he finds something more suitable. He's not a manual labor sort of person but more a thinking and problem-solving type guy. So he's decided that during his off days he will be putting in more applications and is sticking with what he has until something else comes through. Nice to see a sign of maturity here...sigh. What I'm happy about is that he is working! Yippee!!!!

There are lots of changes in store for me in the coming months...son working and looking to find his own place; daughters farther away and visiting when they're able; empty nest syndrome is on its way. The best change is the upcoming arrival of our little grandson soon. Sometime in spring we'll be looking to scale down to a smaller house. (At some point, kids have to STOP moving back home!) I suppose I'm like all other moms..I love my kids more than life itself but at some point they have to stand on their own. I pray they will do well, and will be as supportive as possible.

I've been getting all my projects lined up for the dull and boring winter months. It's too easy for me to sleep a lot when it's dark and cold. One thing that will help is that classes start on the tenth, and I will be taking two this semester. Inching closer and closer to the elusive degree. I'm really getting burned out on classes but I'll be damned if I'm going to quit when I'm this close. After this semester I'll be a senior, so I'm fighting myself to see it through. I'll be taking Brit. lit. and astronomy so hopefully it will hold my interest.

Not sure how long it will be before I can get my computer problems resolved but I'll be checking in on the board from time to time. I miss everyone and hope all are well.
