Are there any hotels close to where you live?
So that we don't all end up at your house and run your DH out, I was thinking we could stay at a hotel kinda close.

Can you recommend a Hotel in Athens that is convienent to shopping and resturants. It would be nice if we could come in on Friday, meet for supper (if possible) then on Saturday we could all spend the day together, shopping, talking, etc
and saturday night we could all go out to eat, maybe to a nice resturant or something like that. You know more about athens than I do so your input is greatly appreciated.

Well... there's a Holiday Inn and a Holiday Inn Express downtown. Our downtown is pretty cool in that there's shopping, clubs (not that I frequent... I'm a homebody! ) and the University of Ga. But, there's also many other hotels like the Hampton Inn on Atlanta Hwy... out from downtown on the way to the Mall. If you have access to a roads and maps program or mapquest.com, check it out. I actually live in Winterville, which is a little city right outside of Athens... maybe 10 minutes. We're in the same county though. Look up Winterville, if it's on there. But, yeah... there's lots of hotels. Including a recently renovated Inn that's supposed to be super nice... The Foundry Park Inn & Spa. Look it up... maybe there's a website. It's in downtown also.
