I wanted to post the announcement of Iris' birthday here in Love Light Healing and Encouragement because it's more than an announcement...it's an affirmation of the beautiful woman that she has become. We've been through thick and thin together, as most of you know.

Sweetheart, I have seen you go through the roughest times that I can ever imagine, and you are still standing! For that you have my utmost awe and respect. Yes, you were seriously wounded (who wouldn't be?)...but you are very definitely tougher than most folks have given you credit for being. I know that it's hard sometimes for your smile to go all the way up to your eyes, but you taught me how to do it. You've taught me many things, and I feel so lucky that you were born to me. You have borne the blows of harsh words spoken to you and about you, and yet continue to stand tall. You still reach out to others, when most would have closed themselves off to the rest of the world. I am constantly amazed by your wonderful and giving spirit.

I'm convinced that life is going to turn around for you now, and it's mostly because of the way you answered the challenge to keep going when things didn't seem worth it. I love you, Darlin' and I'm always in your corner.
