My Ferrets
OMG you guys I got the cutest ferrets on friday!!!They look like the ones off the beast master so you know I had to change their names right. The girl who was named scotter is a dead ringer for Podo. And the male who was cocoa is Codo. The only bad thing is that I did not get them out of the cat cairrer till after I got them home and got the cage put up( thank you Draconis) and OMG was she skinny she looked like one of those dogs of animal cops or something she was bad off so I called my Aunt Shad and talked to her and she told me to look for things and no luck then she got real bad off and I rushed her to the 24 hour vet hospital and they could not see her they didn't have doc there that knew anything about the little guys. So they gave her fluids under her skin she was dehigrated. and set me up with the other office across town that has a ferret specialest there. She also runs the louisville chapter of the rabbit and ferret rescue people. Well any way she is very sick with infection in her foot but no parasites or desease. She is on antibotics for a week and lots of food and vitamins to try to get some weight on her. she is only a pound and for her afe and size she should be 3 or 4 pounds. Next week she has to have that part of her foot cut off it's black and very painful but she is too weak rigth now. I feel so bad everybody has said I should have taken her out of the cage and looked at her first but I'm glad I didn't or she would be dead right now because the guy that had her might not have taken her to the vet like i did. We were outside and she had just had a long car ride and was very stressed out I didn't want to stress her more by waking her up in a new place and me being a new person.She looked fine from the way she was laying all curlded up a poofy looking. I'm just glad I got her and not someone that would have just put her in a cage to die because they didn't know any better.They get along good with Draconis' Ferret Baby and they are all in the same cage ( it was hell keeping Podo away from them for the night, they looked for her all night but i didn't want them to catch what she had in case it was catching but it was sad to see them hunt for her like that.) but she will get better we think as soon as we get that part off and she gains weight. I'll get a pic soon so you can see them.

I'm glad she "got" you too, Iris. It could have been the end of her dear little life. I can't wait to see their pics.
