New story... It's about my D&D character who's a half-elChapter 1
Once upon a time, there lived a girl. Her name was Carella Bearcharger and she was a half-elf. Her father, Walkul Bearcharger, was an elf. Her mother, Maguvial Chorster, was a human. Carella was twenty-three and living only with her father.
Carella's mother died when she was a little girl. The story of that is this. Maguvial and Carella were out for a walk. At one point of their walk and arrow whizzed by Carella and hit her mother, who was standing behind her. Her mother dropped to the ground like a stone and writhed in pain.
Carella was only seven years old at the time and she did not know what to do. So she acted as if she was hit and lay right next to her mother. Night fall came, as Carella was still with her mother's body. She had heard sounds all around. She was frightened, but did not move, for she did not want to be killed.
Carella heard the sound of hooves coming toward her. Still she did not move. The stranger who rode in had her father's voice, and had called for her. Carella Jumped up from the ground and ran to her father. Walkul took his daughter in his arms and set her on the horse. Then he took his wife's body and carried her off into the woods, with horse and daughter following behind.
Walkul dug six feet underground, then placed his wife in there, and covered her with the dirt he dug up. He said a lament for Maguvial Chorster, the only woman, besides his daughter, he would ever love. Then he left a stone, with her name carved into it, under a crusifix. Walkul and Carella both left flowers on her grave. Then the two of them trodged back home.
Once at home, Walkul tied Mezcal in to the stables. Then he carried his daughter inside to bed. As he tucked Carella into bed there was a knock at the door. He wondered, "Who could be knocking at this time a night?" He walked back downstairs to open the door.
Walkul opened the door and to his surprise there was a guard outside. The guard asked if Maguvial was in the house. Walkul's face went pale as he was asked that. He told the soldier that his wife was murdered earlier that morning. The soldier apologized and asked where she was buried.
Walkul went upstairs to get Carella from bed. He walked back downstairs with Carella cradled in his arms. He then put Carella on the back of Mezcal, then he mounted Mezcal, sitting behind his daughter. He led the soldier to Maguvial's grave.
Once back in the woods where he buried his wife, Walkul brought the soldier to the grave. Instead of seeing the somewhat newly dug grave they found a fresher dug grave. They saw a mutilated body lying next to the grave. It was not Maguvial's body at all. It was some unknown person of some land out of Greenwood. A human man of Maguvial's homeland, who moved to Greenwood. He was the father of Carella's friend Sealamin Carter.
Walkul and the elven soldier saw the gravediggers and began talking to them. The two men asked where Maguvial's body was now buried. The diggers told them she was reburied about ten yards from where they were standing. Walkul and the soldier, anmed Dubius Magelblood, rode ten yards and found Maguvial's grave. Dubius said another lament for her and placed some flowers that were used for royal burials.
Walkul asked what those flowers were for. Dubius said that word of Maguvial's death spread fast to the royal family, for whom she was related to. The King and Queen of the 'Golden City' of Armandi. The King and Queen are her aunt and uncle. Walkul could not believe that he never heard about her being royalty. Dubius told him, "Her parents wanted her to be a commoner. They did not wish her to be burdened to marrying someone she did not wish to."
Dubius apologized about her daeth again and left. Walkul rode back home shortly after. Once home, he tied Mezcal back up. Then carried Carella back to bed. After she was in bed Walkul went downstairs to his study and wrote a while.
Walkul was in his study till the sun rose. He stood up from his chair, and stretched. Then he walked upstairs to wake Carella. As he walked into her room, he found her already gotten dressed. She ran up and hugged him, right then and there, Walkul knew he and Carella were going to be all right.

Now I wished I had gotten into D&D when I was a kid.

Re: New story... It's about my D&D character who's a halChapter 2
Sixteen years later, Carella was twnety-three years old. She and her half halfling, half elf cousin, Meri were sitting by the river talking. Carella was talking about trying out for the Normandy army. Meri kept trying to talk her out of it, but it was of no use.
Carella wanted so desperately to help her sity fight. Even though she had no skills in fighting, Carella was willing to fight anyone who endangers her homeland. After she told Meri all of this, the two of them heard a rustling in the shrubbery across the river from them. Meri stayed on the bank where she was already, while Carella walked through the river with bow and sword at hand. She moved a branch out of her vision, and was brought under water by someone who had jumped out from the shrubbery.
The person who pulled Carella under water was, Crugeon Magesblood. Meri kept trying to find her cousin, but the water was murky. Crugeon pulled Carella back above the water's surface. He apologized for doing what he did, but he laughed as he said so. Carella nearly slapped him for fooling around.
Crugeon carried Carella back to the bank she was orignally on. Once she was back on dry land, Carella pointed a finger at Crugeon and told him that he was a foolish boy for fooling around like he did. But she said it in elvish. He apologized for what he had done, with seriousness to his tone, and walked away with his head hung low. She waltched him walk away, and with pity she told him that she was sorry for being rude.
Crugeon accepted Carella's apology and told her he had to go home. She still felt bad for yelling at him, but she and Meri went back to her house. Once they got there, the found Meri's brother, Tylenduil, there. Meri asked him why he was there. He told her that father had sent him to get her and bring her home.
Meri looked at her cousin, sighed and followed her brother home. Carella gave something to Meri, before she and Tye crossed the river to home. She said to keep it safe. The elvish runes that were on it said, "If we are ever to part, out rings will bring us together again." Carella had made them herself. Both rings were made of gold.
Meri hugged her cousin in exchange, but asked what they were for. Carella told her, "I have a job to do for the King and Queen of Normandy. I know not what it is yet, but it sounds important."
Meri nodded in understanding and walked away with Tylenduil, back home. Carella walked back to her home. As soon as she stepped in, Dubius was there talking to her father. He had other soldiers with him. Walkul looked at his daughter with tears in his eyes. He said to her, "My darling daughter. You've grown so much. Now you have to go serve the King and Queen."
Carella began to cry and said that she was not supposed to leave for another month. She couldn't understand what was going on, and she ran upstairs to her room. The soldiers tried to barge into the room, but she barricaded it. While in her room, Carella saw Thalius sitting in a dark corner of the room. He walked over to her and pinned her against a wall.
Thalius started speaking to her in a soft tone, saying that he would take her away from Normandy. Carella looked him in the eyes and told him that he was lying. He raised a hand to her and restrained himself. he then grabbed the bag she packed, grabbed her and drug Carella downstairs. His father was waiting with the other soldiers.
Thalius apologized for keeping the, in the house so long. Dubius accepted and told his son to put Carella in the cart with her bag. Thalius did as his father said and took Carella to the cart. Dubius told Walkul not to worry about Carella. Walkul nodded and walked to the door to wave good-bye to his young daughter.
Dubius, and the soldiers following, marched off with the cart, and driver, leading. Soon enough, the soldiers nor the cart could be seen.

Re: New story.. It's about my D&D character who's a halfChapter 3
Carella sat in the bumpy, old cart, trying to sleep, but she was afraid of what would happen. She heard a rustling in the bushes off in the distance, but there was no wind. As she fell asleep she heard the rustling again and woke back up. She told Dubius, but he paid no mind to her. Then Carella pulled out her mother's sword and kept it close, incase something happens.
Moments later the troop waits at the gate of Normandy castle. Carella woke from the sudden stop. Her mouth drops, once the cart moves, as she saw the castle. Thalius crawled over to her and said that one day she and he were going to live there. She paid no mind to him and kept looking at the scenery. She saw the people bustling around.
Some of the people were watching Carella being pulled around in a cart. The soldiers, following the cart, did not look at the people staring. Once the parade of soldiers finished, the people went back to bustling around. No one felt pity on the girl that they just saw being pulled in the cart. They just stood around doing nothing to help her.
The soldiers, with the cart, entered the castle gates. They stopped by the entrance to the castle, and stood waiting for the King's messanger to come back and told them to bring Carella to the King. Thalius drug her from the cart and pushed her through the doors. Inside the King, Queen and Prince of Normandy stood before them, with arms crossed and faces stern looking.
The soldiers bowed before the royal family, as did Carella, for she was forced to. They were ordered to stand up, which they did. The King asked to see Carella. Thalius took her before the King, then walked back to where he stood. The King took a look at Carella, and demanded she be taken to the Prince's bedroom.
The castle guards took her there. Crugeon tried to stop them, but Dubius, his father, stopped him. He looked at his father and said that they never should have brought her here. Dubius patter his second oldest son on the shoulder, and ordered the troop to leave. Crugeon followed his father, brothers and the army out of the castle, and out to the village.
Inside Carella stuggled to get free from the grip of the castle guards. They held her tightly so she could not get away. They got to the Prince's room and threw Carella in there. The Prince entered soon after and locked the door behind him. Carella stood up and backed into a corner.
The Prince told her not to be frightened, for he wished not to harm her. Carella relaxed a little bit, and asked what she was to do. The Prince first himself as Perlothion Norwood, then told her that she was to be his chamber maid. She gave him an odd look and said that she was supposed to be in training to protect him. Perlothion told her, "Nay, Miss Bearcharger. My father had lied to you to get you here, and to be my chamber-maid."
Carella could not believe what she heard. She filled up with much rage and thought about killing the King. Perlothiong read her thought and told her not to kill his father. He told her that he did not want her in the dungeon for such a horrible crime. Carella had asked, "Are you falling in love with me, Prince Perlothion?"
He stood in silence, blushing. Then Perlothion admitted his love for Carella. He told her that once she walked through the doors he knew she was the one for him. She could not believe what the Prince was saying. A royal falling in love with a common, that is absurd.
After their talk, Perlothion and Carella took a walk around the castle garden. They talked and laughed a bit. Soon enough it came time for dinner. Perlothion kissed Carella and left. She walked to her chamber, alone.
