Old Cat has arrived
'It's cold boss. Are we looking for some place to stay, maybe someplace where their's food and drink and warm, fuzzy mice corpses to scavange from and...,' the crow seemed to go on and on, and for the love of God he never shut up. The cold winter light glinted off of the sheen of blackened feathers as he jumped along beside the cat, leaving tiny foot prints in the snow.

And the cat. He was a fair sized creature for being a puma, although only a quarter of what he had been in his prime. In his prime he had been grand and regal. A mighty creature with tawny, sinewy limbs covered in a sheen of black fur. His fangs were sharp then, his claws even sharper. He could jump from tree to tree to chase down whatever unfortunate creature he had decided looked like a good meal - or whatever creature just happened to get on his bad side. But now...

He swung his paw out, as it landed with a thud in the snow. But the time it had reached the ground, however, the crow was already gone, perched up in the tree and still babbling away as if nothing had ever happened.

He couldn't even catch a crow. Not even a damn crow.

The scars that covered his body were too numerous to count. Some of them were more vicious than others, although on the right side of his body pieces of his now flat black fur had been torn out; the after effects of fights that he could no longer remeber. His body was old and weary, and his left eye, which was infected, had swollen shut. He glared up at the crow, which called itself Tsalagi, as it fluttered back down beside him.

'Well chief?' The bird asked, cocking his head curiously.

'Well what? All I heard was you yapping constantly and not saying anything,' he shot back with a snarl, revealing his dulled fangs.

'Food chief. Where's the food?'

'If I could ever catch you, then we'd have food.'

'Silly boss. Tsalagi isn't food. Dead mice is food.'

'So are dead crows. But you're too damned fast.'

The two of them continued down the winding path, through the blackened timbers that had recently been burnt in a forest fire. All this "Old Cat" wanted to do was find a place to die. A nice quiet place; the place he had been told of as a cub, by his only real friend in life - before he died. The goal of all creatures.

Eden.

It was a long way to Eden, he could see that by looking around at the snowcovered wasteland with his one good eye.

'Well boss? You stopped. Why did you stop? Are we looking for food? Do you know where food is? Where is food boss, huh, huh, huh?' Tsalagi said, spitting his words out like a machine gune while he bounced around in the snow.

'Will you shut up?' Old Cat snarled at the bird, swatting at him again. He had all but given up trying to kill the bird, right now he was just trying to get him to shut up. Without much thought Tsalagi took flight and perched on a burnt tree stump.

It was truly a long way from Eden.

You'll have to forgive me. In my infinite ineptness I hit the wrong key better than halfway through the first part - technically this isn't a second part, just the end of the first. My fault, I'm new to this forum stuff.

ooc.

Wonderous post, if I do say so myself. Um....Although you have made a profile, joining members should start a thread in the Boarderlands and wait to be greeted by another player. Uh..If you've already talked it over with Vannah, then I apologize, otherwise, please start another thread there.

I looke forward to playing with you, and welccome to Den of Wolves.

Re: Old Cat has arrived (pt. 2)
((I'll use jorn cause you have yet to meet him. XD))((Pardon the rambling...XD))

Golden eyes scanned the area as Jorn stalked through the lands that were rightfully his, not that upstart alpha's. He hated Deacon. Hated him with a passion that burned far brighter than any star in the night sky, any sun that the earth revolved around. Was the brute insane? Probably. Did he care? Did the mouse care that the cat would one day eat it? No. Did that thought make sense? As much as the brute was sane.

A shadow crossed overhead and the midnight hued male looked up. A crow had just perched on a nearby dead limb. The ghost of a conversation came to the brute as he stread unblinkingly at the crow, his golden orbs narrowed. An odd voice, one he'd yet to hear filtered through his conciousness, and the male got moving. NO ONE trespassed on his territory, and lived to tell. NO ONE.

Muscles bunched and gathered as th male leapt to just under where the crow was perched. A fierce growl exited the males throat as he faced down the creature that faced him, his golden eyes burning angrilly. "Who the @#%$ are you, and why are you in my lands?!?" He didn't take to kindly to strangers, especially not some flea bitten feline and his pet bird.

Not a thought was given to the raveness who had been silently following, her golden eyes watching every move the beta made. She circled overhead, one eye on the crow, one eye on the puma. She'd seen pumas in her travels before, and this one seemed like he'd already seen his prime. But she wasn't about to underestimate either him or his companion. "Carefull..." One word, spoke as a caution to both the beta, and the puma and his friend.

Okay, well, the logical way this is going to end up is as a fight between Jorn and Old Cat. So I'd like to know how combat goes, if you don't mind.
Anyway, let's get to the meat and potatoes.
You know who I am... Thecirclenigma.
************************************************************

‘Tsalagi hear noise! Tsalagi hear noise!’ Tsalagi crowed, fluttering up through the air and looking down at the brute of a wolf who stood under him. With a curious look on his face he perched back down on the branch again, looking at the angry monster under him. No, this creature didn’t come off as being very nice. And there was only one thing that a bird could do to a creature that wasn’t very nice.
Up went the tail feathers, out went lunch. Bull’s-eye, right between the wolf’s golden ember-like eyes.
With that Tsalagi promptly fluttered to a higher post, watching as Old Cat walked up the edge of the river banks, a growl on his up curled lips.
‘I don’t like the way you talk, dog,’ Old Cat said in a low hiss, tensing up all of the old muscles in his body. Oh yes, they were ready. There was energy there to be expended, and for a brief moment he felt as if he did ten years prior, strong and vivacious. There was only one way this was going to end, and he knew it as well as Tsalagi. The mentality here was the same as his earlier encounter with the wolf named Deuce. Perhaps they knew each other. Whatever the situation was, this creature needed to be taught a less promptly. Land belonged to nobody, much less a mutt with a death wish.
‘Go away mean dog, or Tsalagi will hit you again!’ the crow shouted.
‘Shut up you damn bird!’ Old Cat shouted, adrenaline pumping. Muscles that had been atrophied with age were tightening up, and a gleam returned to his eye. The Psychopathic gleam of his youth, that he had long ago traded in for a more “matured” look. There was a time for everything, and right now, it was the time for killing.

Alright. Combat works on a nonpowerplay type system.
EXAMPLE: you-leap at me, saying you aim for my leg.
me- decides that, yes, you hit, but, it was only a scratch.
Retaliates by aiming for your throat.
you- say I totally miss.
In other words, you say what you are trying to hit, and I say wether or not you wounded me.
ALSO- you can, before hand, decide on powerplay injuries, or possible death. (Powerplay is where you say that I did something)
Such as, I actually do want Jorn wounded. Something severe, to keep him hurt for a while to come. So, break a forepaw for me while we fight.
------
IC-
"You son of a bitch!" Jorn glared up at the crow while shaking his head to rid his fur of the 'gift'. Pala half smiled, worry in her golden eyes.
'Damn it, Jorn, leave him alone. You're going to get killed.' Pala continued to circle, unwilling to land next to the unknown crow.
Jorn shot a glare at the raveness. "@#%$ you, Pala," the brute muttered under his breath, eager for a fight. Golden eyes returned to the feline, a deadly glitter making them appear downright murderous. He began a slow circle around the cat, paws placed slowly, deliberately, almost seeming to stalk to feline in a cat like manner.
Pala made a sound of exasperation. 'Jorn, let him be! I'm going to go get Deacon!' Her words went unheeded by the insane brute.
And insane the beta truely was, truely had always been. There was not a scrap of sanity left in the male's body, never had been. And anyone who spoke to him knew it, knew he wasn't quite right in the head.

I'm not sure if I know what I'm doing or not, Vannah. I'll just post what I type here, based off of what you want and my previous experiences with Fight Scenes. If I did it wrong tell me what I did wrong, so I don't do it again. Anyway, you wanted his limb damaged - so that's what I'm going with.
Now them - let's cue "Killing Moon" by Thrice and get this thing started.
You know who I am - Thecirclenigma
************************************************************

He didn’t give the dog enough time to prepare. Striking without warning was the best way to finish things quickly - especially because he wasn’t sure exactly how long he had before he lost all of the adrenaline that was pumping through his body right now.
He bolted. His paws left the ground as he flew straight forward, slamming hard into the mutt. Both of them struck the ground and rolled down the snowy knoll, tumbling and tussling amidst the snowdrifts, each one trying to score the decisive killing blow. Neither could ultimately succeed.
At the end of the knoll both hit the ground and split up like two magnets of the same polarity, before charging towards one another. They meet somewhere in the middle, paws in the air as the massive puma struggled to get an upper hand on the wolf - and likewise the brute struggled to get an upper hand on the puma. Thin traces of blood arched through the air as fangs and claws scored glancing blows, before Old Cat fired backwards and darted off. The wolf quickly followed, Old Cat looking around for some place to score a some type of advantage.
That was when the woof fell on him. Old Cat spun around in the snow, the wolf striking the ground and snarling at him, viciously - psychopathically. Old Cat returned the snarl.
Both went at it again. This time Old Cat managed to score a powerful blow to the side of his head. This dazed the wolf while Old Cat broke and jumped across the small kill, to the raised bank on the other side. The wolf, not realizing that Old Cat now had the advantage, raced forward and tried to jump over the kill.
It was the moment he had been waiting for. With a powerful thrust from his back legs Old Cat ripped from the ground and grabbed the by the forepaw. He was actually aiming for the mutt’s jaw but had missed; we weren’t perfect, after all.
Old Cat struck the snowy ground and flung the dog across the snow, a wounded forepaw as he created skid marks in the snow. Old Cat jumped forward and landed atop the mutt, grabbing the same forepaw in his hand and biting down with enough force to shatter the bone. He pulled again, ripping a few more ligaments free before allowing the limb to fall limp, and the dog to lay there on the ground. Old Cat took a step back and glared down at the wolf with nothing but sheer hate and maliciousness. Now was the time for the finishing blow. Throat exposed, gasping for breath, blood gushing from the now ruined forepaw - this insolent wolf was now at his mercy.
        But…
He turned his head and started off. Those were his younger days. In his younger days he would have killed the wolf for fun and laughed while ripping the larynx out, smashing the windpipe while the still breathing animal watched in horror.
Those were his younger days. He wasn’t like that anymore. He had matured. He had grown.
Or he liked to think that way.
‘That was cool chief!’ Tsalagi shouted, landing beside him in the snow. ‘What… ah… Chief? Are you alright chief?’
No, truth be told he wasn’t alright. The wolf had carved a nice wound in his left shoulder. And he was tired. Oh, he was so tired. All he wanted now was a place to rest and relax - a place where he could dream.
        But right now, not die.

We'll leave it the way it is, but just so you know when you wrote for me, that was god modding. I'm going to link to some 'regulation' fights, so you can see how they normally go.
Jorn and deacon ((Well, it's missing the tail end of the fight, but basically, we go back and forth until I make Jorn fall, and Deacon takes control.))
Me and another chick ((Not quite a fight, but close enough to show you what I mean))
edit- *add one more, a really good example*
Thanos And Chael-------
IC
The fight sequence itself was a blur after the first strike. the feline was strong, much stronger than Deacon had been, much stronger than the were Khardan had been. And eventually, the ebony brute realized, the feline was stronger than himself. He closed his eyes in preperation of the cat's killing strike, knowing he would die, a result of his own stupidity.

Pala watched in horror as the two combatants struggled and tussled, fought and eventually wounded each other. She almost faltered in her ever present circling as Jorn went down, and the puma stood over him. She thought for sure her packmate would die there, at the cruel fangs of the puma, not believeing it when the puma walked off. She quickly landed next to Jorn, assesing the damage. A wounded paw, several bites and claw marks, but the paw was probably the worst of the damage.

Golden eyes narrowed as she turned and faced the crow and his cat. "You! Crow!" Anger that the crow had failed to help prevent this fight made her thoughts murky. The raveness eyed him, her odd golden eyes unblinking.

Jorn opened his eyes, realizing it was Pala standing over him and not the feline. He attempted to rise, but quickly realized that to do so would be folly, and would worsen his wounds, so he continued to lay there, his blood slowly seeping out and into the snow, staining it with his life force. Vaugly he wondered if he would die. This was a sucky way to go.
