As soon as bombs exploded, CNN announced that the FBI wanted to send a team to "investigate" the attack in Madrid. Was it at the request of Oliver North, the wannabe President who can't even be elected to Congress?

Oliver North wields power through powerful contacts like Rumsfeld and Cheney.

In the 1980's, Cheney and Rumsfield periodically left their day jobs and made their way to Andrews Air Force Base, outside Washington. From there, in the middle of the night, each man—joined by a team of forty to sixty federal officials and one member of Ronald Reagan's Cabinet slipped away to some remote location in the United States, such as a disused military base or an underground bunker. A convoy of lead-lined trucks carrying sophisticated communications equipment and other gear would head to each of the locations.

Oliver North was the "action officer" within Reagan's National Security Council for the most highly classified programs of the Reagan Administration and the current Administration's capacity for leak-proof secrecy makes it difficult to expose the secret plots that are invariably hatched by people who are as arrogant as Rumsfeld, Cheney and North are, but the condition of world affairs is a good indicator of all their handiwork.

Oliver North thought that the US needed a better Senate and then Wellstone died.

Oliver North, the ex-Marine of Iran-Contra fame, tried to launch a bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2000, and since that failure, he is realizing his ambition to be the President of the United States, through George W. Bush. On January 8, 2000, he said,

"I've done a lot of fund-raisers for my party, Even though I am a radio broadcaster, I'm also -- I tell everybody every day -- I'm a card-carrying, practicing, conservative Republican."

With Bush sleeping on the job, Oliver North is free to be as active as he wants to be.

"President Clinton's ability to serve effectively in office is gone," North said. "World leaders cannot do business with a president they cannot trust. For the good of the country, President Clinton should do the right thing. He should resign."

Isn't that precious. Our National Security is in the hands of criminals like Oliver North, the arrogant, strutting braggart and liar who knew how to browbeat those on the joint committee who dared challenge his covert enterprises, and in the hands of fatheads like John Poindexter. Their mission is to "unite" people around the world in a war against terrorism and they failed in Madrid.

What bothers me is that crackpots like Oliver North and John Poindexter are more disturbed by the election result in Spain than they are about the bombing in Madrid. Qualifies them as terrorists, in my book, and thanks for this url Rick,

it is incredible.

You are absolutely right. The government spends millions of dollars to protect fanatics like Oliver North, and they are evidently the criminals who plot regime change around the world.

The flip side of course, is that they plot terrorist attacks, to make heroes out of failed leaders.

What did King George say: You can fool the people most of the time, but sooner or later, it is clear that Carnahan and Wellstone were the keys to the political ambitions of terrorists like Oliver North and John Poindexter. History re-cheats.

Martha Steweart's Internet Jury Speaks Out ! ( no email / no homepage) wrote:

As a Clinton friend who donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Democratic Party, Ms. Stewart has few friends in power these days. As the son of the President, Mr. Bush faced regulators who were loyal not only to his father, but to him.

The greatest difference between them is that Ms. Stewart, a self-made success, will spend months--if not years--in prison, losing hundreds of millions of dollars and her reputation. Mr. Bush, whose business achievements were owed largely to others, suffered not even a paltry fine.

Now George W. Bush is President, promising a new era of corporate responsibility symbolized by Martha Stewart's ruin. Such is justice in the age of irony.

This is why I am quite intrigued with Martha Stewart's Internet Jury. Can the Democracy of the Internet restore the justice that is denied? There are only 3 simple steps to joining the jury:

A/ You must read the closing argment

B/ You must vote guilty or innocent

C/ You can say or publish anything you wish, regarding the fate of Martha Stewart.
