Ouch..............
Hello,
I messed myself up big time when I fell backwards off of a stepstool on the patio and a galvinized tub, I use to wash the dogs, broke my fall. I have been to the ER at VA and was told that I'd landed on the sciatica nerve, cause that is where this smiling bruise is located. No x-rays just pain medication that made me sick because I am allergic. I thought I would try and get into the pain clinic to see my regular Dr. but was discouraged of doing that by my S/O because I have an appointment April 29th. Can we say FOREVER? At least that is what this feels like waiting for an appointment when I am having terrible burning, shooting pains radiating from my behind to my head down to my foot. I cannot sit for long, or stand for even less time. Guess I should just follow my gut instinct and call pain clinic to see if they can squeeze me in any earlier, at least I think that should be the logical thing to do. The bruise is resolved but not the underlying swelling that is directly over that blasted nerve causing pressure.
Just needed to vent......
I have found out very little in the way of an MS diagnosis, the VA has a motto; "hurry up and wait" so my MRI isn't scheduled until April 5th. And on top of everything else, dang it, migraines have returned with a vengence. One Dr. thinks it is because of my eye so has me wearing a patch and using the prednisolone drops again. Which of course has caused the beginning film of a cataract! I AM ONLY 49!!!!!
The other Dr. thinks it has something to do with my blood pressure, it is very low, so put me on a baby dose of a medication that lowers the pressure even more, which makes me pass out. I won't be re-evaluated by her until April 17th. What month is this? Gosh, I am really venting! Guess I needed someplace to put the garbage so I can RIP. Thanks, this really helped. I am going to call the pain clinic and the Dr. that has me on the medicine that causes me to black out, as soon as I post this whining, sniveling complaint, to see if I can't get something done!
Take care of yourselves,
