People needed for documentary
Posted by Webmaster for your information

I am making a documentary series for Channel 4 following people over the next year as they try to make their dream become a reality. Are you transforming your life in the pursuit of a dream? Are you selling up, leaving the rat race and planning never to return? I am interested in finding people who have recently changed or are just about to change their lives as they search for fresh challenges and fulfilment. Maybe you are preparing to take a risk and downshift to a rural waterway or are planning a life change through an exciting new business venture aboard a boat in the UK or abroad. If this sounds like you please contact James Christie-Miller, Ricochet Films, telephone 020 7251 6966, email: mail@ricochet.co.uk

re. documenatry
Dear James,
My partner and i are about to embark on just such an adventure.I recently gave up a successful business in London in order to pursue an alternative lifestyle. Magically, at the same time as making this decision i fell in love with Bex who had a remarkably similar ambition. Both our fantasies included living on a boat.
We are currently looking for a hull which we can turn into a home on the river Adur where we have recently bought a mooring. This is when we came across your advert and your words sang a similar tune to the theme of our journey.
Hope to hear from you,
Love

Pete and Becks

lifestyle change
I am looking to sell up and buy a canal boat in 2004. I will be 51, and will have about 150k as everything I own in the world, i dont want conventional job, and will temp when the funds are tight. I need to find out all I can before then. How big a boat can I manage single handed, how much can I do myself to get the layout I see as ideal, how can I stay online, I dont want to spend all my time in a marina, yet I dont want to be a complete recluse.I have browsed the net all I can, now need to start serious looking. I want my own moorings, ideally, but simply as a base a few weeks of the year. Any suggestions, help, and advise accepted gratefully.

House Boat Rennovation Feature
Hi - I'm looking for anyone who has recently refurbished/redecorated a houseboat to take part in a feature for a well known property magazine.

Anyone who's interested or knows of someone who has just completed such a rennovation project please contact me by email at Penelope_Parkin@hotmail.com.

Many thanks.
