Prayer request for my mom
Please keep my mom and all of us in your prayers right now. My mom went to have her first mammogram (age 62) this week and they found something and the doctor said it was probably benign. Well, they went back and did a second test and the doctor said that if the nodule compressed, they would know that it was nothing to worry about. Well, it didn't compress so they took an ultrasound of it. She is supposed to find out the results sometime next week.
Pray that mom will continue to turn to God. So far, she is handling it well (at least what she shows us). Pray that doctor (staff) will have wisdom. Pray that it isn't cancer and if it is .. then it's treatable. We are trying to take one thing at a time -- God hasn't had the last word yet.

Greatest of ALL Healers,
Father, only You can provide the healing we all need, so we come to you in our infirmities. I pray for Jan's mom this day for You to watch over her and make her feel Your comforting peace. Lay on her heart the will and desire to seek You. Jesus give her doctors the wisdom to diagnosis and treat wisely. Open the hollow of Your grace to include the family, keep them strong in their faith. Watch over them in their concern and give them the peace of knowing You are with them. In Your grace and mercy hear these prayers. Amen

Mom just got back from the doctor and the nodule is suspicious and the doctor has scheduled a biopsy for her for next week. Please continue to keep the situation and my mom in your prayers.

Here is another update:
My mom has to go back to the hospital on the 17th of this month for stereotactic (?) biopsy. The nodule is only 7mm big and the problem is that there is a blood vessel going into it and they have to determine what exactly that nodule is because it can be sign of cancer. The doctor said its 80 percent that it isn't cancer and 20 percent that it is.
