Prior Incantato - A Marauder RPG
With a few twists of a time turner we take you back to 1977, the world is beginning to darken with the presence of a name you will learn not to whisper. James Potter, along with his friends Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew are halfway through their sixth year at Hogwarts. While the Marauders are just trying to survive the turmoil of youth, elsewhere in the world, witches and wizards are simply trying to survive. A dark presence unlike anything since Grindewald has begun to rise. Lord Voldemort, as he is called by those brave enough to speak his name, has started his ascent to power, assembling his most faithful to aid him in horrifying tasks. Worst of all, perhaps, is that the scales are decidedly tipped in their favor.
Most wizards seem to be turning a blind eye, the Ministry of Magic is over-worked and unprepared for the backlash of horrific violence, and the Daily Prophet is not known for printing all the details. . .
. . . but there remains is a slight sliver of hope in the form of a small order of vigilantes. A group has taken it upon themselves to stand as a barrier, a thin but visible line between all the Dark Lord has unleashed and the rest of the wizarding world. Many fear the day they falter.
Prior Incantato is a Marauders Era Role-Playing Game with a focus on what is perhaps the bleakest period of wizarding history. The site had been active for nearly two years with a strong base of experienced players. Original characters are always welcome.
