Queen of Denial (p)
((OOC- For mum and the pups!))
Deuce wandered the lands, her bi-colored eyed distant. So much had happened to her since leaving deadwood. And she was with pups. They'd be born in early spring. She was excited...but frightened. What if the golden brute who'd fathered the pups discovered she was with pup? What then?
The lithe fey was afraid he'd try to take them once they were born. And she was already fond of the little ones. She loooked out towards the deadwood lands, then back towards the Stellar lands. She herself was a loner, and that was okay with her. She could support herself, and the pups when they were born. She'd be fine.
But what if Deacon tried to take the pups? A soft whimper fell from her throat as her ears flickered with annoyance. She wouldn't let him! She'd die first. Bi-colored eyes riveted on a slight movement in the long grass. A rabbit, in it's winter white came snuffling along. The silken fey crawled closer to it, then just as it caught sight of her, pounced, clamping her jaws around it's neck, breaking the neck with a toss of her head.
She dropped it and began to nibble on it, taking her time with the meal.
