Quitting smoking
and ill tell you im ready to kill myself, screw waiting for the cigs to do it! this is day 3 of the patch...but i do smoke while on it, but not nearly as much. the patch has 21mg of nic which is about 2 packs a day...i was a 3 1/2 pack a day smoker (ask narsh lol) I am down to using the patch and smoking 8 to 10 cigs a day...i am a little proud of myself lol the withdrawel this morning wasnt nearly as bad as yest. and no where as bad as the day before. im finally working on new ways to deal with my triggers (thanks to m handy dandy bottled water lol) my hands still shake really badly but at least im not having panic attacks. the worse part is...have ya ever noticed that coffee just does NOT taste good without a cig???
but anyway when im down even lower expect moire bitching lol love u all

Re: Quitting smoking
well i love ya gaia, and i'm really proud of you being so tough. when you're coughing just think about all the poisons your body is trying to force out. when you are aching remember you've been in a battle with a very sttrong opponent. Take extra B Complex vitamins, and vitamin C. If you can get ahold of some st. johns wort be sure to do so. Also, got any echinacea left? Also chamomile flower, ginseng root, passionflower, and especially oat seed. Good luck, soldier!

I am soooooooooooooo proud of you, G-Angel. Please read my last journal post so you will understand why I say this. And you are being much more successful right now in your fight than I am in mine. You give me hope, Sweetie! Please know that I'm pulling for you (and for me too).
Love ya!!
HC
P.S. I soooooooooooo love my prezzie...you did good! When we survive the "stop smoking" insanity, maybe you can tell me how you do those gorgeous pics.

Re: Quitting smoking
Way to go Gaia!
I'm not doing so well with quitting, and I'm fighting a bronchial infection right now, coughing up a lung every morning.
The water bottle helps alot, I don't take my cigs. with me when I go anywhere, but I've not been staying away from the house long.
The Commit lozenge works better for me than the patch.

Re: Quitting smoking
Thank you for that little hint, Astara, about the Commit. I really detest the Nicorette gum, but I'm told that they've come out with two new flavors. I really am afraid of the patch, after the surgery my ex had to have after using them. (Long story...) So I will try the Commit and see what happens.
...it's starting to sound like maybe a "stop smoking" support group might be in order for us, huh?
Love ya's!!!!
