Recent stuff, 1 of 2
To try and pass on some information I harvested – do you see what I’ve done there - last week.
Not sure if it’s worth spending time writing this down for the 2 people, if I’m lucky, that will read it but here we go…
On that point, couple of people mentioned to me how difficult to log into this board is. Personally I had a lot of trouble at first but I’m fine with it now. Maybe to attract more users the board needs to move?
Anyway.
Saw the guys before / after the show on Thursday, and then we went out drinking Saturday so plenty of time to chat. They’d stayed over in London until flying home Sunday afternoon. Got to meet Ketil’s wife who was over with a friend on a massive shopping spree. I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m told Camden is very good for shopping and Oslo has nothing like it. Also Jimmy’s partner had come over and I remember having a chat with her and she complimented my web site so she’s obviously a person with plenty of taste and good judgement
The band had stayed up Thursday night until very late as the venue hadn’t closed until 2am. On Friday, some drinking during the day, and then a night out round Camden, before hitting a nightclub. Afterwards Jimmy had found that little party animal Thomas passed out on the floor in part of the hotel. I think they said he had collapsed amongst some rubbish and Jimmy recognised the boots sticking out! Jimmy helped Thomas back to his room. Lars and Erik carried on drinking in the hotel until 7:30am. Later a cleaner encountered Erik in his room, passed out and naked in the bath. Just some of the rock n roll highlights boys and girls!
I meet with them fairly early on Saturday. All of them slightly rough but Erik was gone. He wasn’t on the same planet as the rest of us, poor guy was half dead. He sat around for a bit, staggered off to the toilet, staggered back, stood up for awhile and then we watched him walk a very unstraight line back to the hotel. We didn’t see him again. Man down.
Over several beers we chatted and meet a few other people the band know.
It turns out that Thomas is a big Hammerfall fan which I’m sure he’d like me to share with you.
Jimmy told an amusing tail of his embarrassment at one of his kids getting a Britney Spears CD.
On to some more ‘interesting’, honest, stuff in a second post…
